i had a grgr aunt who was a bath attendant  i wonder i that was for public baths also my gr grandad was a spirit seller (i knew him as a barman) my nana was a furrier she was a tailoress who worked for Jenners in Edinburgh revamping fur old fur coats for ladies to fit the current fashion in the 1940s and 50s and 60s she always had lots of little bits of fir in the house that me a my sisters would pretend were our pets she also had a great button box which gave us hours of fun hey who need a wii

thank you Tess all of my life i have always known my father was dead but no one talked about it why i dont know i still visited his mum and dad (they never talked about it either maybe it was because we were babies when it happened?)i had a lovely child hood with them not so good with my abusive step father,but our time with them always took away the blackness.i guess i am a bit scared but i have to do it thank you for your kindness no one has ever said sorry for the loss of your father it has i must admit made me a little tearful but i have to find out the information because i have never been allowed to moarn for the loss of my father thank you Sharon x

thank you falkryn for your help , i am realy gratefull. thank you also for moving it to the correct place
just in case anyone knew my father or has any pictures of him his name was Stan (stanley) Boak had a brothers Scott,and Stuart i think the came from the Fountain Bridge area of Edinburgh their lovely mum was Nan scott(boak) and their father (best grandad ever) Andrew or andra Boak the men were all plasterers (and good singers) they moved  to clermiston i think in the mid 50s my grandfather Andra used to work in the Fox covet hotel in clermiston at one time as did nan any help would be grateful

sorry he died in Edinburgh scotland but i do not know the address or hospital he was taken to if any

i have a Lockhart (lockard in the IGI but lockhart at his wedding in  1803) born of fornication to christy mcpherson and robert urquhart on26 june 1780 and baptised in Tain parish church has anyone any information on christy mcpherson (father i think Donald) or Robert.i would also like to find out if the name Lockhart was a family name as it comes down 5 generation to my gr.gr grandfather thank you

i dont know when he died it was like a dirty secret no one talked about him i found out just before my grandparents died that they thought me and my sisters didnt care i dont even know what he looks like although i have asked there does not seem to be any pictures of him

 my father died sometime in 1964 or 5 my twin and i were 2 years old my sister was just weeks old i dont know how to find out how where and when he died as my mother never talked about him (she is now dead) both my grandparents are dead and i just do not know where to start i have no birth cert for my mother or father or wedding cert although i them on my birth cert as being married please someone help me as i have come to that time in my life where i need questions answered thank for your time

apart from sending off to get a cert is there anyway i could find out what my father died of and what date he died in 1963
