Nope George Glover married Prudence but she was born in 1859

On one of the family trees on Ancestry they have the same Prudence marrying a George Glover or Daniel Pierce in 1879 in Newcastle under Lyme

I do suspect she left him for someone else and is living under their name on the later census its just there aren't enough markers to tie it down as to who which is frustrating

My great grandfather ended up in Stafford asylum due to dementia we live in the same area as Prudence so it’s a good chance that she would have been sent there

I was thinking along the lines that she might be in asylum as well which is why Mark didnt re-marry and some of their records just list initials which isnt helpful but surely there would be a death record somewhere and there is nothing for the entire country

I'm wondering if she skipped off somewhere abroad

No her father was a John Jones stone mason according to the marriage record

The 1871 census for Mark living with the Greens says married the person above is down as widowed

The 1891 census is revealing it has two lodgers George and Isaiah Green who are actually down as Bosworth on the 1881 census

GRO throws up James Trevor Green 1866 Wolstanton and John Thomas Green 1867 Wolstanton MMN Vickers

30.5.1858 banns were read at St Martin Tipton for James Green and Elizabeth Vickars they married 4.7.1858 James aged 21 of Tipton bachelor labourer father Trevor James Green labourer to Elizabeth Vickars of Tipton aged 19 Spinster father Edward Vickars Butler
