Nottinghamshire / Ordsall Church, Retford - 1884 onwards

hello all,
I have found some references to the parishioners (?sp) and choir and some of the church clergy in a prayer book that belongs to my father.
It was originally owned by a Charles L Skelps (not sure if this surname is right - the writing is very old!), of lichfield Theological College, and was passed on to an ancestor of mine - Alonzo King. The original owner made lots of notes about the choir - including a register of attendees - some of the names include Appleby, Powell, King, Haslam, Bamforth, Hinde, Goodwin, Bell, Benson, Banks, Brett, Glasby, Rowland, Cooper. It seems to cover 1884 and the following couple of years, although there is no date reference to the subsequent years they appear to follow on from the 1884 register.
There is also copious notes relating to obituaries from 1884 onwards - far too many names to mention!
If anyone has any rels who were baptised/buried/married at Ordsall Church around 1884 onwards then drop me an email, they may very well be mentioned in it! There arent too many personal details that would help identify anyone, just mentions things like "Fred Bloggs, plumber, died jan xx 1885 after a long and painful illness. buried january 1885 athe cemetary. I and Charles XXX were bearers." and " John xxxx dies january 1885, interred at ordsall jan 8 1885 - myself and B roberts appoited by ? to adminser the funeral money"
so, fire away...might take me a while to figure out the writing, but i will try.
and if anyone has any contacts with ordsall church, please let me know!
sue
