Interesting string - one mystery solved but another one remains.  Sarah Soundy who wittnessed the above marriage was born Sarah Whittick. She married Peter Soundy in Henley on 25th December 1847 (my husband is a direct descendant of this couple). Sarah's  father's name was not given in parish register.  According to census information, she would have been born around 1821 in Henley.  Is there a link between Sarah and this Whittick family? I have not found her baptism record yet.  If the other wittness is Beaufoy's brother, could Sarah belong to the same family?
