If anyone has access to the index could he please check for a Marriage of Harry Baker to Martha between approximately 1805 to 1815?  Martha's surname may have been Makin/s or Mekin/s or Meachans, or Matthison.  Harry Baker was born in Chatham, Kent and Martha, in London, MIddlesex.  They lived in Winchester, Hampshire. Their marriage is not on Ancestry, or British Origins, Pallot's or Boyds, or in Hampshire.  Thanks so much!

Would anyone know of the cemeteries near Glasgow and in particular, Bishopbriggs.  I have already been told that my ancestor's lair is NOT in Cadder cemetery.  I am searching for the grave of Eliza Matilda Baker, nee Lees who died in 1923 at Bishopbriggs.  She had lived in Galashiels, Roxburghshire in 1891 but died in Bishopbriggs, Renfrew.  Help with this is appreciated.  Thanks, K

I am trying to find family of Martha Mekin born in St. Marylebone in 1789 to George and Ann.  Also, Martha Meachin/Mekin married Harry Baker about 1814 or earlier, but I can't find the marriage.  I have checked both, Boyds and Ancestry . Com. with no luck.  Any help or connections will be appreciated.  Thanks. K

Thankyou, Mike for these details.
As yet, I'm not certain if this Agnes LEES/MAXWELL is mine.  It appears as if this Agnes may have been a daughter to Richard Lees and Mary Patterson, b. 26Sep1796.  My Richard was born 1780 in Ancrum and married Mary Purvis in 1805, Melrose.  He appeared on the 1851C. living with his daughter, Helen, now married to Peter Livingstone, in Melrose.  There is a death on scotlandspeople of a Richard Lees in 1856, Melrose.  I must investigate other cemeteries nearby as he had to be buried somewhere.
Thanks again.  Every bit helps. K

Alan
Thank you so much for sending the info re: the LEES.  Sorry I didn't supply much info.  (I'm new at this.) At this time I am trying to sort out who's who.
My direct line, GEORGE LEES was born in Ancrum, 1776, but he was not buried there.  (In fact, there is no mention of his death on the IGI or on Scotlandspeople.)  George's brother, RICHARD LEES (chr. 1780) who married Mary Purvis, lived in Melrose and had 9 children baptised there.  Of the 9, I have found JOHN (HELEN), ALEXANDER (ANN), and RICHARD, Jun. (ISABELLA) on the 1841 census, all livng with their respective wives, in Melrose.  However, I had thought (IGI) that John was married to Helen Tait.  I do have several Agnes', so must check her out again.
I am trying to find ANDREW LEES and AGNES WEER burying places whom I thought had died in Melrose.
So, you see, I need to sleuth some more.  I do appreciate what you have sent.
Thanks, Kingsleigh

London and Middlesex / Matthison Family
« on: Monday 03 August 09 23:48 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find Martha Matthison who was born in London, Middlesex circa 1790.  She married Harry Baker, a tobacco pipemaker, probably about 1812.  She was living in Winchester, Hampshire on both the 1841 and 1851 Censuses.  If anyone has information on her birth or marriage, I would be grateful.  Kingsleigh.
