Hi Bougie, Any chance of looking to see if there are any Tait's listed in the census for Hawick? Children that I know of are William, John & Margaret. Do not know parents names.
Thanks heaps.

Hi there
Thanks so much for your help. Sorry but I do not have an Agnes Crozier that I can see. (who knows she may turn up)
I have the info re marriage of Daykins & Crozier and I also had the info on the births of their children. It was the information from the cemetery MI that was very helpful.

I will see about becomming a member of Scotlands People and order myself a few certificates. One in particular I want to find is for my gg grandmother. She was married to Peter Crozier (son of Eliz Daykins & John Crozier) anyway she & Peter divorced in 1898 and I don't know what happened to her. Did she remarry, when did she die - all that stuff. Her name was Mary Scott Blythe born 1862. So I should be able to find her if I open my tight Scottish purse and pay for a subscription.

Can't believe how generous you are to complete strangers.

Ta for info on Crozier/Daykins. What a speedy reply. I have some of the children listed in census information and now know what happened to them.
Will have to get cracking to see what else I can find out.
Is Scots people expensive? I'm in Australia and don't think the exchange rate favours me but then again I don't suppose if favours you either. Thanks again for your help - its really appreciated.

Hi there
Found my way to your posts. Is is possible to look for any Croziers in Hawick, in particular my great grandfather Peter Crozier buried in Wellogate Cemetery. He died 2 Oct 1927. Any other Croziers would be a bonus. Am also researching the Daykins family. Thanks

Hi Bougie
Would you have any Croziers in your book? I am interested in a John Crozier, son of Peter and Mary Scott Blythe or any other Croziers.
Thanks

Hello Amanda

Yep this is my family! Mary Scott Blythe who married Peter 13 Oct 1882 was my great grandmother. Peter and Mary's children were Ellen (not Helen) who was my grandmother and John. To my knowledge Peter had no other children.

Nanna's full name was Ellen Wilson Crozier and was born in Hawick 29 March 1884. She died 28 Nov 1963 in Sydney Australia. This is where I live. Peter divorced Mary and then married Isabella Ogilvie. I don't know what happened to that marriage but he later married Janet Lambert who was his wife when he died 2 Oct 1927 in Hawick.

Nanna married an Englishman and they emigrated to Australia in 1929.

I'll put some information together for you but it won't be until after Christmas as its a really busy time for me now. I must let you know that I have not done a lot of research but I do have some information on the Daykins.

Have a lovely Christmas.

My great grandfather was Peter Crozier, son of John Crozier and Elizabeth Daykins. I do not have any parents listed for John as yet so your email is of interest to me. I can supply you with some detail of Peter's family.

Ireland / Re: Marriage for McNea & Robinson
« on: Tuesday 29 July 08 10:04 BST (UK)  »
Hello there
I have the same question. Sarah McNea and William Ralph are my great great grandparents. I cannot find when Sarah came to Australia but have details of her marriage to William Ralph. Would be interested to know if you found details of the marriage of her parents William McNea and Jane Robinson. Apparently their daughter Sarah came from Tynan, County Armagh in Ireland. Any help would be appreciated.
