Ive recently found out that my GtGt grandparents Enoch & Harriet Windley died 1922 & 1936 respectively, are buried at the General Cemetery. I also know that the grave number is: 4502

Im having a major problem finding the location of said plot. I have rang Wilford Hill Cemetery on (0115) 915 2340 who have told me I need to speak to the Superintendent Annette on 0115 915 3245 & Ive also been given her mobile & email, but these phones/emails have not been answered in over two weeks.

Has anybody got any ideas on how I could take this further or find out where the plot is?

Thanks

Thanks Annie

Im already a member at Ancestry & have Alberts medal card, but I cant find him in the British Army WWI Service Records, 1914-1920. Any idea what I could do now?

Very interesting about article about the Boer War.

Quote
The Mounted Infantry company of the Sherwood Foresters saw a very great deal of fighting and came up to the high standard of the 1st Battalion.  Corporal Beet gained the Victoria Cross at Wakkerstroom, in the Orange River Colony, on 27th April 1900.  An Imperial Yeoman being wounded in a retirement, Beet remained with him, placed him in cover, bound up his wounds, and by firing prevented the Boers approaching, so that at dark a doctor was able to go to the wounded man's assistance.

& give my love to your city, Ive just moved back home to Nottingham after 20yrs in Liverpool

 ;)
