Thank you Brendan, I will keep looking, are there any more records to come?. I found a record  of marriage for my great grandmother but nothing on her birth?. I appreciate your time and effort.

You are lucky, how nice for you. I am surprised at the drastic changes there. or maybe that is just how I see it, I am doing this research for my children so they will  be able to see their history.

In my search I have found some really nice people very helpful. looking for people on both sides of my family will take a while. again thank you.

So Anne Ducie is Helen's mother, I think they may have lived with the parents for a while, on the certificate for the marriage the address given is 6 upper Mounttown And Kilmacud Road Stillorgan .
I will have to keep on looking for John Hall's family. I don't know why but I think the Hall family came from Wexford.

Boy you are quick, the cottages could be where her family lived. my  father mentioned that her father was a time keeper in Dun Laoghaire. my grandmother's father was Michael Ducie?. don't know her mothers name. thanks for your help

Yes Monkstown is it, I know everything has really changed out that way but I never thought I would get an, answer. now to find out who the family were is the next thing on the list.  It is a shame people never  had kept records.

Thank you for your response, the only address I have is Roman Catholic Church of Mounttown the union of Rathdown Dublin, but there is a word for the registrar's office that look's  like Blackrock?.I can't really tell, the old eyes are going.

Shane thank you. The only date I have, would be my great grandmother's wedding date which was November 15 1876 catholic Church Duagh. both fathers are on the certificate  John Somer's and Michael Scanlon, Lucy Scanlon was  the daughter of Mary Hurley. as I said Charles Hurley 's wife was Alice?. again thank you  Betty
