Berwickshire / Craigs in Eyemouth

Hi i've traced my ancestors back to the beginning of the 18th century in Eyemouth, they were fishermen. I'm trying to find out how we came to be in Eyemouth. My earliest ancstor is Alexander Craig who was listed as a farmer in the early 18th century he doesn't appear to have been from Eyemouth. Any help is appreciated
