Cheshire / Re: our lady's rc church, celeveland st birkenhead
« on: Friday 03 May 19 13:52 BST (UK)  »
I always remember my mum telling me about when the church was bombed. My mums family lived in Carrington Street (no longer there now) and Our Lady's was always our family Church. I was married there as were my mum and dad. During the war my mums 1st husband was part of the rescue party after the bombing. I believe it was some time before they reached all the bodies. Thats about all I know except for the deceased names which I located via other avenues. Good luck with your family research.

Sadly my aunt has just died and I'm hoping someone out there has an old photograph of when he was mayor. I was in touch with a lady a few years ago who suggested back copies of a newspaper but I have lost her contact details and also have forgotten the name of the newspaper Craven something I think.
Can anyone help???

Trying to find out a bit more about the parents of Patrick Tennyson, he married Elizabeth Busher in 1888 in Birkenhead, Cheshire it was a second marriage for Elizabeth she had been married to Christopher Locke.
They had a daughter Sarah who eventually went to USA.
Any info re Patrick's parents or any siblings would be a great help. Here's hoping!

Good morning Sandra I think the info on Michael's sister Mary is correct as I have a Masgai in my ancestry tree so that fits, I will need to find out more about Michaels wife as I got a bit confused yesterday with all the info you managed to uncover. I am indebted to you for all your hard work many many thanks, Maureen.
