I am looking for information on the above named who won a Military medal for bravery whilst serving as a signaller in the middle east in 1940 with 7th Armoured Division.

originally from Gosforth, his parents lived in Chapel Burn Cottage, Low Row near Carlisle at the time of his award.

His sister Mrs C Scott lived in Monseaton.

He also served through the Greek Campaign and was with the 8th Army at Tobruk and was wounded in Italy on the 4 September 1944 while serving with the 1st Armoured Divisionsl Signals.

Any information would be welcome.

He also receiveed a Mention in Despatches for the Middle East.

Unfortunately, due ti illness, I have not been able to spend much time carrying out any research into Frank Faulkner over the last couple of years.  I am however happy to report that I have discovered Frank was the Chairman of the Torbay branch of the Dunkirk Veterans Association.

I am looking for information regarding the above named who was born on 5 November 1917, the son of Charles Millar and MAry Wilson Millar of 20Green Square Alva.

Charls Ramsay Millar seved witht he 6th Highland Light Infantry in WW2 winning a Military Medak in 1945.

Any information wouls be grattly appreciated, I have his citation for the MM.

Thanks for your reply. I bought the medals at auction. I collect ww2 Military Medals and particularly like those to men who served in the 3rd Division who landed on Sword beach on D day.

L/Sgt Faulkner attended many reunions in Normandy and as a Dunkirk veteran he attended reunions there.

Assuming he was. Legion member and wonder if the Legion in Newton Abbot have any
Photos of their veterans ? 
I am afraid I do not know where he is interned.
