Thank you... How did you find him in poor houses in NY?  His mother did die in NY. SHe is buried in Calvary cemetery  in New York in the same plot with his Mother, sister Anne and brother Patrick.

His US naturalization record lists his occupation as a teacher. He was the first to emigrate to the US.

Looking for information on this Comerford family from 1911 Census, address was 19 Abercorn Terrace, Dublin. Census indicates Edwd & Mary Comerford had 10 children alive but only 8 on the 1911 census at this address. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
These children are first cousins to my aunt's father Alfred Bernard Comerford who was born and raised in New York.
