Northumberland / Grace Ord & John Selby
« on: Saturday 16 March 13 15:09 GMT (UK)  »
Hello

Another brick wall- Grace Ord married my 5x great grandfather John Selby in Wooler Northumberland 8 April 1776. They had a daughter Ann baptised in 1777 in Wooler they then had a further 8 children between 1777 and 1792 all baptised in Rothbury NBL.  The problem is I cannot find any information about Grace other than her marriage - I have scoured many online records but ran out of ideas as to her history- I have not been able to find her death. John was born 1753 in Rothbury and died 1824.

Any help would be appreciated

Happy New Year -

I recently contacted Rootschat about my family who emigrated to Australia and received a great deal of information and wondered if anyone can help with John George Dunn born Sunderland England 1856 and who emigrated to Australia with the family in 1857 on board South Carolina - passenger lists show the name as DANN.  I have some information about John George DUNN who discovered Wealth of Nations mine with his brothers William and Thomas and wondered if this was the same family. He married ? May V but I have no further details I think he died 1912 in Western Australia- Can anyone give me any more information.

Hello
Just found a 4x great uncle who was a beerhouse keeper in 1861 at Waterloo field Cowpen, and Wanley Street 1871 -1881 census- does anyone know anything about it.    Would it have been a public house?   He was called Thomas Dunn. He died in 1889.     Can anything be seen of it today?

« on: Thursday 11 October 12 07:50 BST (UK)  »
Hello

Having hit a brick wall I wondered if anyone can help- I'm looking for my 4 x great grand parents - birth marriage and death. All i have is the baptism of Thomas OLIVER my 3x great grandfather born Saltwell Gateshead 15 November 1826. He was baptised December 1826 the record states his father Thomas a husbandsman and Alice his mother living Gateshead-

Is any one able to help with births marriage death or census- I think Thomas 3rd great grandfather is in Hepscott NBL 1841 but no record of his parents.  I look forward to hearing from anyone who can help
