I have just found out one of my ancestors Rachel Haward/ Heyward was baptised at St. Michael, Ashton under Lyne in 1735, parents Thomas and Betty. I am viewing  the L.D.S. film and it says they were from Littlemoss. Can anyone tell me what his occuptation would have been at Littlemoss at that time?

Technical Help / windows 7 64bit
« on: Monday 21 March 11 12:37 GMT (UK)  »
I could not install the ancestry enhanced image viewer using IE 64 bit, but found, thanks to one of you, that I have also IE 32 bit. I just got a new computer with windows 7. I did not know that I had 32bit and 64 bit. Now I might be able to get my canoscan to work!!!!!
Also there is a patch for FTM. I am using version 16 2006, and could not use it, so went looking on the net and found a Vista patch for it which, also works for Windows 7. It is working fine. I hope this also helps someone else. I am quite happy with FTM 16.
I was quite happy with my Canoscan, too and will try to install it again. I have been trying to install the ancestry image viewer for hours, all I did was switch over to 32 bit. I must have got them mixed up somehow. I hope this makes sense to someone, I am not veyr technical at all, just don't give up easily.
Thanks to you all for your postings and help

London and Middlesex / ST. JAMES GARLIKHITHE
« on: Saturday 01 January 11 12:01 GMT (UK)  »
I am tracing my MANNING ancestors, and I think they would have been at St. James Garlickhithe. THOMAS MANNING married Katherine NURDEN at St. James Duke's Place. He was an apprentice dyer, before his marriage, to THOMAS RICH who had his dyehouse in Blackswan Alley. The parish registers for St. James Garlikhithe have a large gap at the crucial time I am looking for.
My question is can anyone tell me if they are available anywhere or destroyed, never to be found?
