Hi

Has any one got a relation named as above. Born in 1890 in Nailsworth Gloucestershire, Commemorated the Nailsworth War Memorial as a Sergeant in the Canadian Army, died in the Great War.  He was son Tom Henry and Ellen Evans of Walkley Wood, Horsley,  his brother Raymond also fell.

1911, Albin is missing. I have checked all records relating to any Canadian Military, (Stevens, Stephens.) and Outward Bound passengers that left our shores plus the CWGC. with no luck.

Can anyone shed a light on him.

Regards
Alf

Separate memorial, A token of respect to Oscar Alexander

My question is, was he a Warden or Fire Guard. If he is a member I then will be able to upload the image and details onto Military Images

John Henry Elsley died 23rd October 1918 aged 24 and is buried in Whitchurch Cemetery. He the first named on the family headstone at the cemetery which indicates that he was a soldier and that his mother was Elizabeth of this town.

I can not find, (except his medal card which gave him as Gunner 114606, Royal Garrison Artillery), any other military record, even with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission that he died in service.

If there is any person who may be able to help sort out as to his position with the military at the time of his death and who was his his parents

Many regards

Devon / Okehampton Army Camp

If there is any person who lives near this camp and could take some photos for me it would be very much appreciated. I was there in 1967 when I was at Wyvern Army Barracks, Exeter. I had some good times there but one place that stayed in my mind it was (as far as I can remember) was a cafe' which had (empty) coffins as tables and seats.

Happy new year to all
