World War One / Uniform

I cannot find this mans WW1 records. Sadly one of those destroyed it seems. Can anyone tell me anything about what this man is wearing, he seems particularly untidy for a soldier?

If it's any help he'd have been 36 in 1915. No idea when this picture was taken.

Sussex / SFHG and familysearch

The latest edition of Family Historian says " many Sussex wills are now available to view on the Family Search website"

Either I'm unlucky in that the ones I'm interested in are not on there

or I'm not very good at searching.

Particularly interested in the will of Samuel NAPP of Heathfield, farmer; registered will with grant of probate 4 Jun 1814 PBT 1/1/71/771

Can anyone point me in the right direction please - or confirm that this is not actually on familysearch

and now cannot either find or remember what it was

I know the thread was in the Common Room - have searched and trawled through the threads but nothing is bursting out on me...

Can sks suggest what it was please?

Would anyone like to hazard a guess at Elizabeths fathers name.

~~1841 census she is in Walberswick Sufffolk age 25 with a James Cross age 30~~ Scrub that one as I've just checked census and they look like a couple with young children.

1851 not very helpful as looks like Wattats Suffolk $:-\$

1861 she says Wattisfield Suffolk

1871 Bury

I have a baptism - only likely candidate in Sotterley Suffolk in 1815 problem is fathers name ?

Technical Help / Galaxy 4 Tablet

Does anyone else have one of these? Bought the bally thing for ease of use, but find that it keeps saying that there is no internet connection and pages cannot etc.etc.

Looking at the settings, internet, it says it is connected and has a strong signal. The only way to get the darn thing working again is by turning off the wi fi router, waiting and turning back on.

All other devices, lap tops, mobile phones all work perfectly.

Is there another fix as it's not always convenient to keep turning the router off? I've only had this device a few weeks and am considering taking it back for a refund under the 'not fit for purpose' clause.

Apologies if this has been asked before..

I'm looking at Medal Rolls, if a man only received say the 1914 Star or the British War Medal but no Victory Medal would that indicate that he had died or been killed in action before the end of the War?
