Mary Jane Claridge born 1860 Banbury married Arthur Morris Freakley 1894 in Wolverhampton. I have her 1881 as a housemaid in London. Can anyone find her, please in 1861 or 1871 presumably with her family?

Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / E. Varney on Culworth War Memorial

On Culworth War Memorial we have 'E. Varney died 1917'

Commonwelth War Graves have only an Edward George Varney  died 1917 buried Bray,  and Ernest Varney died 1918 buried Wooton Underwood, Oxon, neither appearing to have any connection with Culworth.

The question is, can anyone find either of these unfortunate gents, or E. Varney,  in Culworth in 1891 or 1901 please?

While investigating for

I am trying to find William James Freakley, birth registerd in Poplar Dec1870, born Essex Bromley by Bow according to 1911 census when he is married to Ellen M. born Kent 1870/71.

I can find nothing in 1881 or any recorded wedding.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Hi All

I'm researching the Freakley family around the country.

Grt Grandma  Mary freakley born Mill Meece, Eccleshall, Staffs 1856

Most people with the name come from Staffordshire, but having trawled the net, I can find no-one who has come up with an explanation of the origin of the name.

Anyone out there with any ideas please?

Staffordshire Lookup Requests / 1891,1901 Look up for William Smith

In the 1911 census William Smith, aged 26, is living with his sister in Sale Cheshire. He was born at Cotesheath, Staffs.

In 1901 he wasn't living with the rest of has family at Swinnerton, Staffs.

I looked in FreeBMD and there are three William Smiths registered in Stone in about the right period.

Is anyone able to find him in 1891 or 1901 please?

Nottinghamshire Lookup Requests / 1881 Lookup for Fillingham in Bulwell

According to Familysearch.com, in 1881 census  John Fillingham living at 51 Duchess St., Bulwell was aged 67, his wife Mary A. aged 34 and son John T. aged 24.

Is anyone able to look at the original return and see if a transcription error has occurred (as it obviously has somewhere).

In the 1881 census we have Sarah Jerrams, widow, living at Hinton in Hedges with a son Joseph and father in law Thomas. I have reason to believe her late husband was also Joseph who died 1stQ 1881.

Can anyone find them prior to 1881 please to close a link for me?

According to freeBMD, In April-Jun 1857, Nathaniel Jerrams married Elizabeth Capel or Sarah Henson. The marriage was recorded at Banbury but I suspect it took place at Middleton Cheney, although he was born in Falcutt and lived in Kings Sutton in 1866. Is anyone ( this is obviously aimed at northants1841 after the look up offer) able to give me any more details please.
