Hello I am seeking help to track a distant relative down in Pennsylvania . Garfield Jenkin was Born in 1892 in Paul Newlyn . His Father was a William Jenkin and Wife Jane . All I can find on him is a Death date of 1951 in Braddock Pennsylvania ?. So I am curious to know how he got from Newlyn to the US?
Since I am not subscribed to Ancestry I only have limited access to records and just found his Death in the US . If anyone can clarify me on Garfield's life in Penn I would be so grateful . Thanks.

Hello I am wondering if there are any historians out there or amatuer sleuths?. I have just discovered a 10th G Grandfather of mine . I know it is a long way back but he is still worthy of research i reckon. I don't have much on him really , hence I am on Rootschat . I know he was Born in 1597 in Cheshire , his Name Thomas Stanley . If anyone can fill me in on some social history about him I would be grateful and thank you all .

« on: Friday 15 September 23 17:08 BST (UK)  »
A relative of mine landed up in Cunnamula Queensland in the 1960s . He went off the radar at some point but I suspect he was a child/teenage migrant and sent to the outback as a white male to repopulate rural areas. So"Does anyone know anything about the child migrant trust in OZ?". I would like to try and find out more about how immigrants where treated etc . Thanks .

Hello everyone. I am doing some Family research on behalf of a Cousin . There are a couple of queries we have along the way. So my Cousin wants to know more about her Great Aunt Louisa Smythe Mckenzie . Louisa Beatrice Smythe was born in 1884 in Egremont Wallasey cheshire . Her Father was a James Smythe b 1848 Ireland . Louisa Married a Alexander R Mckenzie in London in 1915 . They emigrated to Alberta Canada soon after . This is where it gets interesting . Whilst in London Louisa was a prof singer at the "Adelphi Theatre". They apparently led a glamorous life here. My Cousin wants to know more about this Alexander  as supposedly he was the Postmaster General in the Canada province? . Maybe a rumour but not sure here . Also , if anyone can find any articles about the couple in Canada . We appreciate any help with this and thank you .

World War One / Help please for a look up of my relative Gunner James Gatley
« on: Sunday 25 June 23 15:40 BST (UK)  »
I would like some help with a Military look up please please. I know little about my Great Uncle James Gatley Born 1880 in Runcorn Cheshire. After speaking to Family i now know that he was a "Gunner" in the Royal Garrison Artillery in Flanders . Apparently he Died there in 1917. So i was wondering if any Military enthusiast could find an article/photo of James from one of the WW1 websites. This would be a sentimental discovery , as i haven't any pictures of James in my Family collection. I appreciate any support and best wishes , thanks.
