Lancashire / Looking for Entwistle

My g/mother x3 Esther Entwistle was born 1800 at Chorley, Lancashire. She was baptised 25 Jan 1801 Chorley St Laurence, Lancashire. Parents listed as Thomas & Mary Entwistle. She married Joseph Mitchell 18 Jan 1819 and died 1835 Bolton le Moors.
Problem I have is cannot trace either of her parents

have estimated Thomas may have been born abt 1780 but have checked out so many Entwistle's I am getting bog eyed and really do not know where to start..can anyone help please

This is a difficult one

Someone recently sent me a copy of a marriage certificate from 1917 Glasgow, Lanarkshire.
The marriage between Annie McIntyre Mckay age 20 (so date of birth would be around 1897) and James McDougal they were married 29 Dec Dennistoun, Glasgow.
Now the problem is that she names her father as being Alexander McKay (deceased) Private in the Black Watch..which going on the evidence is my grandfather ?? so could be that I have another aunt out there somewhere albiet an illegitimate one. I think somewhere along the line someone called Lesley (won't use surname) just in case..presumably from Australia has at some stage made a similar enquiry but this is going back to 2003. As you can imagine am a little bamboozled by the whole thing

and am not quite sure where to start, have tried a general search on Ancestry but have not come across anything significant, I suppose I could try SP but do not have any evidence as to where she may have been born (the marriage cert is very had to read, mother poss Christina??) can anyone give me hand with this one as am quite lost.

George William Henry Charlesworth - born 1900. Crofton.
Parents - Michael Charlesworth & Jane A Fletcher.
Baprised - 1901 Crofton All Saints.
1911 Census at Glass Houghton with parents.
Married 1932 Doncaster to Violet Hughes....! son.
Unable to find a death anywhere..can someone help please.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Darlison-Dunkley-Beeby

Purely by accident came accross a marriage for my g/greataunt originally she was Sarah Ann Darlison born 1846 West Bromwich.

The marriage I found 25 Aug 1873 St John the Baptist, Barnsley. To Henry Beeby, on the marriage she is marked as Widow name being Dunkley (have not been able to source this marriage) problem is I cannot find either of them after the marriage ..there is an 1881 census at Lofthouse but the dates do not check out

Can anyone help please....various spellings on Ancestry Beeby, Bebby, etc etc .

The Common Room / Last chance - My Brick Wall

Have posted before on this subject but am hoping by doing a general search on the Common Room I may have a little more success.

Bernard Rily/Reilly/O'Riley etc etc was born (according to 41/51/61 census) in Ireland in 1791 (or between 1791 & 1796) He died 27 May 1868 Ardsley West Yorkshire Apt qtr Vol9C Page 92. His wife Mary ? also born Ireland between 1798 & 1801 died Oct qtr Vol 9C Page 32 buried at Ardsley.

Their children were - Caroline 1826, Ellen 1826, James 1829, Mary Ann 1832, Margaret 1835, John 1837, Michael 1839. I do have all BMD's for the children

I have tried every which way to find a birth for him, anf wondered if a copy of the death cert would give me his parents names, although I very much doubt it) Various other trees on Ancestry have him born in Limerick/Meath and various other places in Ireland, they also have his wife down as Mary Bowen ?? but, as usual, nothing to back this theory up

I am half way through checking all Irish birth records (of which there are about 8000, and so far no luck) but will continue

This, of course, may be a lost cause, but am at my wits end....by the way his profession was Flac Weaver.

Can anyone help with this quandary. Thanks so much

Galway / Bernard Riley

Looking for birth and marriage info for my grandfather x3. born approx between 1791-1795. This is a long shot and I have very little to go on !!
1841 census has him in Barnsley W.Yorkshire and he is listed as a flax weaver, and both he and his wife Mary ? as being born in Ireland.
1851 - Still in Barnsley and is now a Linen weaver again born in Ireland.
1861 - Barnsley but now states born in Galway.
He and Mary had the following children....Caroline 1825, Ellen 1826, James 1829, Mary Ann 1835, John 1837 and Michael 1839 all born Barnsley apart from Caroline who may have been born elsewhere.
Bernard died in Ardsley by Barnsley in 1868. Mary his wife born approx 1795 died 1869

And this is all I have to go on so hoping someone can point me in the right direction, am assuming they would have been married prior to Caroline/Catherine birth in 1825 and from then on am stumped.
Hoping someone can help me out here, as I am in Australia info is a little limited and I have to rely on the computer.

Anyone else having the same problem as myself searching for Australian records and yes I have used the drop down menu right hand side bottom of page...but am consistently getting U.K. records..it's driving me nuts ... can anyone help please...Regards Patvp

Is anyone else having problems just lately. I wish to search Australian records, and yes have nominated Australia in the drop down menu, right hand side below, but it still stick me with U.K. records...I keep trying and trying, anyone have any idea how to solve this problem. Regards Patvp
