Suffolk / Baptist Churches-Tuddenham, Hadleigh 1820?
« on: Friday 13 May 05 02:37 BST (UK)  »
Could someone tell me the names and locations of the staunch Baptist churches in the Tuddenham, Hadleigh areas?  Where should I look for their records if any exists.  Specifically birth/baptisms early 1800's for Richard Tricker b. 1818.   I live in US and unfortunately do no know England or her resources well.  Is the Society of Genealogists worth the money if you can come up with it?  Thank you for your assistance!

Suffolk Completed Lookup Requests / Marriage Look up Request- Tricker
« on: Friday 06 May 05 23:06 BST (UK)  »
Is there a source available for locating marriage date for William Tricker in Tuddenham, a village near to Hadleigh.  I don't have a  spouse's name and only know the marriage occurred before 1818.  I realize this may be too broad and undefined request and I thank you for your efforts!  ???

Suffolk / Tudham? Ludham? "A village near to Hadleigh"
« on: Thursday 05 May 05 15:31 BST (UK)  »
Is there a small village of aforementioned names or similiar near Hadleigh.  My gggrandfather, Richard Tricker, was born there approximately 1818 to William Tricker.  I can not find the town listed and am interested in any possible Tricker connections in the area.  Thank you for your help! :)

The Common Room / Thank you's, maps and groups to join???
« on: Tuesday 19 April 05 21:24 BST (UK)  »
First question???   Is it okay to post a thank you in the area where someone answered your post?  Or is the fact that you thanked them before hand in the post itself sufficient?  I wanted to thank a couple of people who answered my posting but was afraid it would be considered SPAM.  What is proper etiquette?

Also can you recommend what maps of the UK, primarily England, would be best for learning of the  counties and regions both past and present?  Is the Society of Genealogists a good resource for maps especially those showing older county registration districts?  What other resources might there be?

Last question!!!  What are considered in the UK to be the best groups to join for studying family history.  Ones with access to numerous databases, etc.??  Are there equivalents to Ancestry.com or Genealogy.com that have greater access to information in the UK?

Thanks for your help!!  Dawn

Would some one be willing to look up Richard Tricker b. 1816 Hadleigh, Suffolk and wife Eliza Chapman Tricker b. 1821 Shearing, Essex.  In the 1871, 1881 and 1891 census they lived on High St. in Hoddesdon.  Would you please confirm this as their earlier address and list family members if possible.  Thank you so much for the wonderful services you provide!
