I am unable to find a Thomas Sutherland, Marine Engineer, born 1865 in Greenock, in the 1891 census in Glasgow where his intended wife is living under the surname of Sutherland. Could he have been at sea in the 1891 census and how can I find out,. Thanks

I have a David Harper born 27th August 1900 in Wick, and who died July 1985 in Lancashire. He is alleged tgo have married a Margaret Collins and they had three children Michael,Evan,Veda and John. There is no marriage in Scotland, and so far I am unable to find one in England. Any ideas please

Surrey Lookup Requests / Surrey memorial inscriptions

There is a memorial inscription in Wick Scotland, of an Elizabeth Paterson who died 24th October 1951 aged 48, interred at Addlestone, Surry.
Also on same inscription there is a Margaret who died 17th March 1964 also interred at Addlestone Surrey, so not sure if she is related to the above and may be on the same stone. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Peter Swsanson who lived at PLenvella, Burntwood Road, Sevenoaks, Kent when he died on 29th May 1954, does anyone have access to electoral rolls for around this period to find out who else may have been living at the same address. Of course it may be a nursing home. Many thanks

I am looking to find out if a Peter Swanson who died in 1954 left a will. He did spend some time in Brazil but was toing and froing from Brazil to England, but not actually sure where he did come back to in England. Could have been anywhere in England. Can anyone help please

Interested to find out if there are any old photographs of Strachan in the 1860s and 1870s, around the area where there was an Inn, and cottages behind it. The Inn which is now a family home is still there but a lot of the cottages have disappeared. Any help would be appreciated.
