Hi again, following from previous post....
My James WILKS married Caroline WILKS. I am looking for the 1851 census info from 1851 for her father a follows:
info from 1841:
WILKS  BETSY  F  14  ESSEX  HIGH ROAD    LOUGHTON  ESSEX     
WILKS  CHARLOTTE  F  44 
WILKS  EMMA  F  11     
WILKS  JOSEPH  M  45     a wheelwright according to a directory for Loughton 1851
WILKS  LOUISA  F  6     
WILKS  SAMUEL  M  9 
WILKS  WILLIAM  M  15 
I would again appreciate birthplaces for Charlotte and Joseph.

Hi to all,
I am looking for info from the 1841 regarding Charles CUMBERLAND b c 1816 Mountsorrel( or loughborough) and Anthony CUMBERLAND b c 1784 so age would be app 56. Anthony i believe died in 1857 in Barlestone, St Peter. I need to confirm that Anthony is Charles' dad.
Any other Cumberlands in the area are of interest as well. I do have access to ancestry so have all the later census info. I do  have 1851 census info for Charles but not for Anthony

Hi to the list - this is not a brick wall - this is a fortress!
I have James WILKS b 1818 Dunmow Essex and wife Caroline b 1818 Loughton with daughter Caroline Betsey b 1852 in Bermondsey. I, and several experts, cannot locate the in the 1851 or 1861 census in the UK. In 1871 they were living in Loughton. There is however a Australian connection as Carrie B, my great gran, was engaged to an Australian miner who gave her a diamond. My mum thought Carrie B was born in Australia but this was not the case. Is there a chance that they may have gone to Australia between 1851 and 1871 and then returned home? I can find no siblings for Carrie B either.
Any suggestions as to begin to find the needle in the haystack would be appreciated.

Looking for George and Jane Archer, should be Langwith in 1851 as daughter eliza was born there in 1850. i have all the later info.
