Westmorland / John Fothergill....Mallerstang

I have John Fothergill born 1791 Mallerstang, Westmorland..... married Ann Hudson nee Park in 1836 ...... in 1841 was farming at Esthwaite Hall, Hawkshead, Lancashire.

I am trying to find who his parents were.........which Fothergill family he came from ..........and if he had a previous marriage.

I have looked various places....Westmorland Papers.....IGI ....there's plenty of John Fothergills but most appear to be born in nearby Ravonstonedale.
There is a couple on IGI.....one born just below 1791 and the other just above.

Does anyone please have Mallerstang Fothergills in their tree?

......why Photoshop wont open the High Res. picture in the thread below.

It keeps telling me that there is not enough memory (RAM)....and what I can do ..

Could some kind person give my photograph a nice presentation. I've seen the nice things you all can do. I took this photograph lastyear and today I have been to her funeral. I would like to give this photograph to the family.
She was into tarot cards and angels......that sort of thing

Can anyone get this photograph just a little bit clearer please..I've mucked about but can't get it any better. My grandson as a reluctant donkey in the school nativity....It was taken in the dark from the back of the hall.

Can anyone please tell me why my 'clone tool' is not working. It was fine earlier, now it thinks it's a paint brush. When I press 'alt' to get the clone symbol, nothing happens......along the bottom of the screen it tells me to drag the paintbrush.............lost without my clone.......help. All the other tools ar working fine.......maybe I've worn it out!!

Does anyone please know of a good site.........because I have loads of questions......like ...'why does grass and shrubs in old black and white photographs, go green when you raise the threshold'.

I'm really getting into this now....thanks to the folk on here.

The trouble is, once I start, I don't know when to stop and get in too deep.....lol
