services still available on mobiles / internet

once reopened the library will have relocated the local studies collection (formerly upstairs with restricted access ) into a dedicated downstairs reading room. the family history records will remain downstairs as now.

Lincolnshire / which newspaper

my hubbys descendant Rebecca Doughty (nee Holmes) 1817 -1916 Frithville appeared in this newpaper article in 1911 (aged 94).

we would love to see the rest of the article but dont know which paper. Frithville fen - so Boston area, i have checked the British newspaper archive online.

can anyone help? - access to library perhaps (that would be my next step as an ex librarian!)

Important info for Loughborough researchers:

the local paper has announced that the local studies upper room at L'bor library will be closed form 16th July til november. this is whilst changes are made within the library.
access to the family history section is open as usual

Lincolnshire / marriage impediment

i have just found a Marriage cert on Lincs to the past for my hubbys 4x g grandfather. he was married on 6/6/1813 in sleaford.

the certs says " by banns with some impediment alleged"  !!

they were obviously still married but is there any way i can find out what the impediment was?? would it say on the banns - does anyone have access please?

william Anderson b. 16/9/1766 Sunderland, holy trinity s/o William & Margaret

this is from DRO. william was a mariner and i have his wife & children.

DRO has 2 marriages
1. william Anderson = margaret Telford 17/2/1763 holy trinity,sunderland
2. william Anderson = margaret Taylor  26/8/1758    "                "

william 1766 lived / died silver street if that helps.

can anyone find his bap in PRs etc to confirm which margaret was his mother?

too early for BT's online.
