My relative Albert James ROBINSON born Battersea 10/02/1867 joined the 3rd Hussars presumably in London yet in 1887 he married a Liverpool girl in Liverpool and the Marriage Certificate shows his address as Seaforth Barracks Litherland which is just down the road from where she lived with her parents.
Presumably he met her in Liverpool while stationed at the Seaforth Barracks.
BUT can anyone offer a suggestion as to why the 3rd Hussars where there in Liverpool
Is it possible they sailed home from abroad to Liverpool,
where they in India or South Africa in the 1880's ?
Any suggestions grateful.
