Louth / Margaret Byrne birth record
« on: Sunday 02 April 17 00:28 BST (UK)  »
Hello, I'm trying to find a birth record for Margaret Byrne. On her marriage and census records it shows her age, indicating her being born in 1846. The census records state she was born in Drogheda. Her wedding cert states she was living in Dundalk. Her wedding cert shows her father as Michael Byrne. i have no indication of her mothers name so I can't guarantee which birth record could be hers. I did find the attached and wondered if boundaries in 1800s could have Meath for Dundalk? Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated.

I want to buy a map of Ireland (North and Republic) that shows all the surnames of origin. I'm looking for a poster so that I can frame it as a wall hanging. I live in Canada so would likely need to buy it online. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.  Thanks

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Baptism record Michael Smith
« on: Friday 15 July 16 18:24 BST (UK)  »
I have a birth certificate for Michael Smith born 1886 in Kirkham, Fydle district, Lancashire. However, how do I trace his baptism record? I have looked in Ancestry and Find my Past. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong or is there somewhere else I can search? Thank you.

Louth / Margaret Byrne/Burn baptism
« on: Friday 15 July 16 01:22 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to search for my 2nd great grandmother's baptism record. Her father's name was Michael Byrne. I have four census records showing various DOB as 1847, 1845 and 1841.  Her death certificate gives her birth as 1845. Her marriage cert in 1867 gives her birth as 1846. I'd also like to know if her given age of 21 could be made up, i.e., was 21 the minimum legal age to be married? Two of the censuses give Drogheda as her place of birth.

I have found two baptism records with Parish/District of Drogheda and with Michael Byrne as the father. One is for the year of 1852 and the other is for 1842.

What can I do to try to identify which of these, if any, baptism records belongs to my 2nd GGrandmother? Many thanks.
