Possibly 1862....Ancestry has a marriage but not who the partner is

?? possibly Martha or Margaret

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Death - Laura Harper - schoolteacher

Laura Harper born 1868 Ardsley. From 1881 through to 1911 she worked with or for a William Meakin at Kirk Sandall, Doncaster as , first an assistant schoolteacher then became a schoolteacher herself but I cannot find what happened to her after 1911. William Meakin was born in 1839 Newcastle and died in Barnsley in 1922 adds 9 Earnshaw Tce.possibility she may have gone back to Barnsley herself or could have married although unlikely as she was already 42 in 1911..So where on earth did she go....as a point of interest William Meakin left his estate to his son Alfred Ernest Meakin who was also a schoolteacher.
Can anyone help please.

Help please - Am running around in circles here

Joseph Mitchell - my grandfather x3 poss born Bolton

married 18 Jan 1819 St Peters Bolton le Moors to Esther Entwistle, they had four children to my knowledge, Mary 1819 Bolton (my g/g/grandmother) who married Thomas Vaughan in 1842 and died in Featherstone Yorkshire in 1896. Cath 1821 Bolton, (another) Cath 1824 Bolton, Jno 1826 Bolton and Hannah 1828 Bolton.
Can find no place of birth for Joseph Mitchell anywhere

nor have I been able to trace the other children..thought they may have followed Mary to Yorkshire..but nothing doing there.
All help would be much appreciated.

Trying to find info on the above...
Margaret Turner birth about 1715 possibly Barnsley, my g/gran x6 married James Harper abt 1730, 3 children Jane 1733 W'Boro, Hannah 1734 W'Boro, Michael 1737 W'Boro.

(2) Jane Bramah abt 1737 W'Boro ?? married Michael Harper (not sure when) children - James 1765 W'Boro, John 1770 W'Boro and Mary 1776 W'Boro.

Got the orig info from the old IGI now can't find a thing on family search (wish they had left it alone

)

Any info would be helpful on these two..would also appreciate a death for Martha Gray who married James Harper at Darfield born 1769 Barnsley St Mary.

Maybe I can't see the wood for the trees and new eyes may help.

Looking for a possible death of the above.
Bap 19 Oct 1851 Dodsworth, parents John Allen and Eliza Horn. He was married to Mary ?... abt 1878 ??. children Charles H, George A, John Fred, Willie, and Sampson Edgar. Have his wife Mary on the 1911 as a widow so death (I assume) between 1901 & 1911.

A marriage to Mary ? may come in handy as well

I may add am doing this family tree for a great friend of mine who, like me, lives in Queensland Oz..this all started two weeks ago with a simple question ..was my grandmother in service

My friends maiden name was Senior.....never come across so many in my life

and she was born in Dodsworth.

After watching a passed episode of WDYTYA (we are in Oz, so one I missed)on Kate Humble, they were talking about Coal Hewers !! now I had assumed they were just the run of the mill miners..is this correct, or were they the equivalent (in later years) of deputies..can someone clarify for me please.

Can someone help with the burial of my g/g/grandmother

Isabella Cramb married John Robertson then married Peter McKinnon. Lived all her life in Alva, have tried Memento Mori with no success

possibility that my g/aunt Christina Allan is buried with them.
Any help appreciated.

Sarah Walton born 1845 Ardsley.
1851 census is in Ardsley with g/parents Bernard and Mary Riley/O'Riley.
1861 Servant in Barnsley with John Mirfin (Head).

Cannot find her after this nor can I find a birth for her

Margaret a daughter of Bernard and Mary does marry a George Walton in 1854 but doubt she could be the mother as she would only have been 11 yrs old at Sarah's birth.
Thing is I cannot find George and Margaret either after their marriage.
Could have been a family connection there ??

Have been going round in circles with this one..there is also another Walton family with a daughter Sarah but born in 1854 in Barnsley (I thought maybe mis-transcribed..but I don't think so

Help anyone please...

Am I missing something here, have worldwide coverage on An***** but there seems to be very little info re Tasmania.
Have the birth of William Thomas Lilley 13 May 1934 Hobart Tasmania, parents (we think) Thomas William Lilley and Camilla Jean Par(s)cell, can find no marriage for these two or in fact a birth for William T, know he had a sister Karlene or Carlene..am I doing something wrong or are there very limited records, am new to the Australian records so can anyone give me hand and point me in the right direction.
