I am trying to find information on William Forty Stephens whose occupation was ship's chandler in London in the 1870's.

The GRO doesn't seem to have any record of his birth or death although I would guess he was most likely born between 1840 and 1855. I can't find a baptism or see him on any censuses.

Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance  :)

Edith May Forty Elen's birth was registered in J Quarter of 1879 in ST GEORGE HANOVER SQUARE  Volume 01A  Page 415, but her mother's maiden name is not listed. I would appreciate it if someone could look-up her baptism as I am trying to find her parents' names. Thank you  :)

Hi, I have just come across the second " burial 30 days after death" in 1836 in Norton, Suffolk. Can anyone shed a light on why this should be? It seems an awful long time to keep a body in those days. Thank you :)

A marriage was registered in the second quarter of 1871 at St George Hanover Square, London between Rosina Elen and Camillo Giromini. I would like to establish whether this was the same Rosina Elen that was born in 1852, with parents Charles and Mary. I think Camillo was born in 1850, but I can not find either Rosina Elen or Rosina Giromini on the 1871 census and I can not find Camillo Giromini anywhere else at all. Any help would be appreciated :)

Hi, I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me find the birth of Philip Elen, who died in Arlington, Sussex in 1811. I want to find out who his parents were and whether he had any siblings, but seem to have hit a brick wall; despite having a very strong connection to Arlington, Sussex, he seems to have appeared out of nowhere!

He was a bachelor from Arlington aged 28 when he married Mary Moon (of Isfield) on 22 Jun 1773 in Isfield, Sussex, so he must have been born about 1745, but there does not seem to be any record of his baptism in Sussex.

Mary died in 1784 and despite being married for 11 years,  there do not appear to be any children from this marriage.

Philip then married Mary Pace in Arlington on 29 Oct 1785. They had six children, all born in Arlington; Philip (1786 - 1862), Mary Ann (1789 - 1839), John (1791 - 1862), Richard (1792 - 1871), David Leonard (1795 - 1844) and Leonard William (1800 - 1858).

If anyone could shed some light on Philip's origins I would be most grateful.
