Hi!
I'm trying to solve a family puzzle a member of my family uses this address on several pieces of paper work in Nov 1901 and 1902, but I have him at a different address on the 1901 census. Yes I am aware they may have moved in the 6 months but seeing as on some of the paper work he is using a false name I was out of interest trying to find out who lived at

8 Khartoum rd, Tooting.

Maybe other family??
I tried do a search myself but I don't think ancestry has an address search and I'm struggling with narrowing it down.

World War One / found medal card, is it the right one??

I have found a medal card for what is possible my great grandfather
I have tried to find out from the info on it if this is the right one I am looking at.
Name Aaron Potter I know that it is not a very common name
But my family seem to think he was in the Essex Regiment. but have nothing other then they were all in the Essex Reg??? Nothing concrete to back it up no paperwork or photos.
I have search all over but can find no other info on this person/

Family History Beginners Board / help reading 1861 cencus

Can any one help me read this census, I have just found a relative I have been looking for, for ages, but I am struggling with the writing.
I cant post an image don't know how put one, my laptop doesn't seem to like it.
Can anyone transcribe it for me.

Hannah woods born somersham Hunts 1822.
found her at Newington, Lambeth.
She looks to be with family, I think 7 others in the house I think it is Charles Woods underneath her age 9 I think they are both described as Cousins.

I am now researching my Twort line, I have definite

Henry Twort born abt 1815 Bidborough- died 1900 Tonbridge.

While on familysearch it produces a result baptism spelt TOURT 25 OCT 1814.

I am just wondering if anyone else thinks this to be a likely match.

Close but is it close enough.
Any opinions.

I have had quite a lot of problems researching my Woods side of my tree from Somersham.
I have found all I can from internet, ancestry etc.. I now need to prove the link between father and possible son. So if anyone is visiting the records office could they do a look up for me.

My last definite person on my tree is

William woods born Somersham 1816 died 1885 Hendon, Middlesex.
Married
Mary Leekin born Somersham abt1822 died 1882 Hendon,Middlesex.

I believe His father is ( no proof)

Richard Woods born Somersham 1796 Died 1879 Hendon, Middlesex. Buried Somersham.
Mother Martha from West Walton.

Can anyone look up the parish records to see if this is true. Baptism or Marrage

Its complected to explain how I have narrowed it down to Richard and Martha being the parents but in short a long process of careful elimination.

Richard possibly had two bothers
Wakefield Woods 1788-1855
William Woods 1791-1847

William did leave a will so that may contain something that provides a connection.

I am looking for Frederick Peaks Woods born Sommersham, Huntingdonshire 1865
I have him in
71 Huntingdonshire
81 Cambridge ( mother widowed)

then he's gone
He dies 1905 Lambeth 1d 186

His mothers in Cambridge working as servant on own
his sister is in Kensington
and his brothers are in West Ham and St Clements Danes

so I think he may be there ??
