Stirlingshire / Place 1861 Census Delmang, Stirlingshire?

Hi all.
I don't know much about Stirlingshire. Most of the family are from Uphall in West Lothian.
But in the 1861 for Cambuslang it says he was born in Delmang, Stirlingshire.

Is this a real place? Sort of looks like Dalmeny.
Sorry for my ignorance.

I'm hoping this place might open up somewhere to research.

Hi. I haven't been here for a while.

I'm trying to find where my Cunningham family were before they travelled on the City of Brisbane in early 1862.
Family was John (C) Cunningham [40], Hel(l)en Cunningham [34], David [11], John [10], Charles (Tait) [7 of Kirknewton, Midlothian] and Elizabeth [5 of Cambuslang, Lanarkshire]

John was employed as Telegraph Master and Pointsman for 7 yrs in Hamilton Junction, near Glasgow, Scotland.

the ship to Australia left Gravesend England. I don't even know how they got down there.

Hi again.

I'm also hoping for some help finding John Macauley and wife Susan/nah (nee Donnelly) in the 1861 census. He was born in 1839 (so he's about 22 and she is about the same age) and listed as a mariner on his wedding certificate.

I would love some help looking for a John Macauley (born Dec 1/4 1839 Liverpool to father John mother not yet known) in the 1841 census.

His father John could be a mariner.

I'm wondering what rootschatters can tell me about people staying on the Asia in the 1871 census?
I've been given a lead by Jean that a possible relative Susan Macauley b 1838 Ireland was on the Asia at the time of the census.

Her husband John could also belong to the 2/24 regiment. I'm also interested in what you might be able to tell me about this regiment.

I'm trying to rule out/ rule in a family I have just stumbled across.
I really don't know for sure where my John Macauley was in the 1871 Census.
I have him in 1881 living at 28 Garden St Oswaldwistle working as a coal miner.
He is also supposedly born in Liverpool. On his marriage certificate he is named John James and his father is John Macauley.

So the family I want to find out about is
John Macauley
May Henderson Macauley
And their son John
baptised 07 Jul 1867 Birkenhead, Claughton Road United Methodist Chapel, Birkenhead, Cheshire

I know that in later years my family was Methodist

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Industrial School Kirkdale 1860s -70s Macauley

In the 1871 census John Macauley is living in the Kirkdale Industrial school. I've been told that these records indicate who admitted the child.

I'd like to verify that this is true
And ask someone to kindly look for who admitted my boy John Macauley.

This has been a major road block in my family research for a very long time and many have tried to help.

My goal this year is to find this birth certificate and parents.
His Marriage certificate says he was 22 in June 1889 and that his father was John Macauley deceased.
