Somerset / Farley (or Farleigh) Castle - birth ?

I have fund that my GGG GM was born in Farley Castle in 1777.

Can anyone tell me what or why she would have been born here, please?

I am being lead by the records I have found, so don't know how accurate they are ...

Her name was Amelia Moore, and she was born in 1777, and Married Benjamin Smith in Wiltshire on 10/12/1795, if this helps at all.

I am trying to find a Marriage for a Dorothy M (either Parsons, Rees or Briggs) to a John (this is where is gets sticky) Collishore / Crowleyshaw ... or any variant of the spelling (sounds like Collishire, but can't find that either).

It would be after 1964 and in Neath (area)

Somerset / Harry William PRIEST - where has he gone ?

OK, I am losing the plot. I've searched Marriages and deaths, Military and newspapers, but appear to have completely LOST one Harry William Priest.

He was born 1865 in Yeovil. I have his records as a Railway Porter (cleaner) 1883-1884, and I also have him on the 1891 census, living in Clarence Road, as a Railway Porter, with his Mum Eliza and siblings .... from 1891 I can't find him. He can't have gone far .... can he ?

Any suggestions, please ?

I am trying to find any records for Alcester Gaol, please ? ... I have newspaper entries for my Great Aunt, who was imprisoned in 1908 in Worcester Gaol, and the newspaper entry suggests she was also imprisoned in Alcester - no dates provided though. I know it would be after 1898 and before 1908 (ouch!). Here's the hard part ... she was Mary Ann (nee Thompson/Thomlinson) married a Jones, then a Smith. She is more likely to be shown as Smith aka Jones though, as this is how she was recorded on the Worcester records. Any suggestions, please ?

I wonder if someone can help me please? I am trying to find one HENRY SMITH born 1868, and I believe living in Kilburn in 1912, when one of his Sons died (according to Barnardo's letter)

I have Henry on the 1901 census, living in St Pancras with his Wife Minnie (she died in 1904) and his POB is shown as Somers Town.

Henry & Mnnie had the following children:
Henry William Charles Smith
1890 – 1966
Herbert John Smith
1893 – 1912
Dorothy Louise Smith
1895 – 1902
Albert James Smith
1898 – 1980
Ethel Maude Smith
1900 –
Edwin Charles Smith
1902 –

His occupation was a Hairdresser. I did find one in Kent, bizarrely with a Wife called Minnie, but the children were different - and his Wife had already died anyway !

Cornwall / Did they Marry ??? Greenway / Marsden

(I am such a doofus, I posted this on the Devon board ...)
I am trying to find the Marriage entry for Amanda (Zenobia/Genevia) Greenway and UNKNOWN Marsden.
I have her and her Daughter, living at Volunteer, Charlotte Street, Devonport, Stoke Damerel, Devon, England in 1891. I found this by searching for the Daughter, as Amanda's name isn't listed. Very strange entry!
Her childrens name are equally as strange. I have found a birth entry for Agnes Georgina Marsden June qtr Tavistock, 1891. but no Violet ....
According to the 1901 census, Amanda is shown as Amanda JG Marsden, and her Children are AG Marsden (1888) and GG Marsden (1892) .... but by the 1911 census, they are Violet (1888) and Agnes (1892)
I can't find a Dad ......
Can anyone help please ??

I've had the 1891 BC back, and it gives the Fathers names as HENRY MARSDEN .... The Mothers entry suggests she was married ... Marsden, formerly Greenway. He was an Engineer in the Merchant Service.
The birth was registered at Beeralston, Beerferris (sic) .. and Amanda's address at the time is shown as Middle Terrace, Falmouth ..
.. still can't find Dad though ...

Any suggestions please ??

Hi .. It dawned on me recently that I haven't done much about finding the actual graves of my family ... I wonder if anyone could help me locate these, please ?
George Greenway, died April 1898, Basset Place, Falmouth
Phillip Greenway, died May 1874, Centenary Street, Cambourne
George Greenway, died February 1853, Trevisky
Mary Greenway, died October 1868, Claremount Terrace, Falmouth

I wonder if anyone could help me locate a burial please ?
My GG GM died October 1870 (aged 22) and was living in Manchester Street, Littleham at the time. Any suggestions where she could be buried, and how I go about finding her plot please ?
