Suffolk / MAULKIN - Bury St Edmunds

I am trying to find out more info about the Maulkins from Bury St Edmunds. Anything from 1700 to 1841. They seem to disappear from Bury in the 1841 census. Was there a mass exodous? Also, who was father and mother of Joseph, born about 1803? Thanks.
