This is a holiday snap of a group of brothers in (I believe) 1920s. It includes my late grandfather. Is there anything that can be done to restore a photo that has been so badly treated? Thank you!

Hi, I'm trying to date this photograph. It was taken by Edward Brewis in Newcastle which I think gives a window of 1890 to 1914+. I hoped that the uniform might help but I'm not getting anywhere. Can anyone help please?

Hello, Jonathan Rodham (sometimes Roddam) was born in Wagtail Cottages, Craghead in 1843. He was baptised on 7th. June (father Joseph). Is anyone able to find out at which NUMBER Wagtail Cottages? Thank you!

This is a photo from 1871 - a Norfolk labourer (my g g grandfather) and his son. I have seen photos of the little boy as an adult and he has the most incredible pale blue eyes - but these are very hard to see in this photograph. I would be most grateful for an enhanced black and white image which shows them. Perhaps a colour version too if you think the image is suitable? Thank you in advance for any help. Latina

I'm hoping someone can help me identify this beautiful young lady. What sort of date are we looking at and how young could she be? Is there any significance in the sprig of heather? Do her clothes suggest she's married? We THINK she is an ancestor who married very young and emigrated to the States in 1881 aged just 17. Could this be a photo taken for her family before she left? Thank you for any observations!

Norfolk Lookup Requests / West Dereham Burials?

Good morning, I'm trying to find the burial place of my ancestor JANE WING.
In 1891 she was living in West Dereham on parish relief. She was admitted to Downham Union Workhouse where she died in 1892 (JAS).
I assume she would have been buried in her parish church??? Unfortunately I can't find any West Dereham transcripts.
I would be most grateful for any help.

Somerset / Suspicious deaths - criminal/ newspaper help requested

Jane Kingston was an only child born in 1847 in DITCHEAT. In 1867 she married Thomas Goodson b. 1837 in BALTONSBOROUGH. In 1868 Minnie Jane Goodson was born. Then it all goes wrong...
1869 - Jane dies "Killed by jumping from a pony carriage in the street at Ditcheat" (FreeREG burial record) Then:
1874 - little Minnie Jane dies "Found in the river at Baltonsborough supposed to have been murdered" (FreeREG burial record).
Were they both murdered? Perhaps for the Kingston farm?
If any sleuths out there can discover anything more about these incidents, through newspaper archives or criminal records, I'd be very grateful.
(Note - there is also a Thomas C Goodson b. 1838 in GLASTONBURY - he is not our Thomas).
