Carolyn, thanks for the generous offer.

When you have time could you please look for the following?

Ann Letitia CLARKE c 1829

« on: Monday 31 March 08 23:25 BST (UK)  »
An English newspaper report of the death of Oliver DEATH states that it took place in a railway accident on 14th Sept 1883 in British Columbia, in a place that looks like Hamusaud or Hamusand. I can't find such a place. Please could anyone help?

Many thanks, Chris

Northumberland Lookup Requests / MI lookup request - WARK
« on: Monday 23 April 07 16:08 BST (UK)  »
Thanks for the generous offer. I would be very grateful if you would look for SCOTT information.

From at least 1841 Thomas SCOTT and his wife Eleanor / Ellen / Helen lived in Wark with their family. I'm not aware of any family who died before 1851 but would be thankful for any assistance with this family. If there are not too many SCOTT entries I would be most grateful for details.

Many thanks,
Chris

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / Hurstbourne Tarrant Memorial Inscriptions
« on: Sunday 18 February 07 20:45 GMT (UK)  »
Passing through Hampshire yesterday as we returned from holiday we took a detour to Hurstbourne Tarrant (what a beautiful village!)

In the churchyard we had one of those all too rare experiences, where we feel sure we located a batch of gravestones - one a "table tombstone" that may be connected to our family. Sadly the inscriptions were illegible. We hope the names were ALEXANDER but can't be certain.

Please can anyone tell me where I might be able to find transcripts? - they don't appear to be included on the HGS MIs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / BISHOP / JARNALL Wandsworth
« on: Tuesday 06 February 07 21:45 GMT (UK)  »
I am very keen to find news of the large family of my great uncle, James Leader
BISHOP, 1874-1954. James was born in Colchester but moved to Wandsworth, where he was a member of the Metropolitan Police. He had about 11 children - some of his descendants may well be living in the area still. Unfortunately I have little to go on, except the name Florence JARNALL, who may have been a daughter.
My Dad (89) would be very pleased to hear about his cousins. Any help would be much appreciated.

Chris
