Hi

Trying to find the birth of MARCIA GERALDINE TYRRELL born 24 JAN 1910 father REGINALD BRAMLY TYRRELL mother MARCIA HELEN MATTHEWS.  Reginald retired as a Lt. Col in the British Army so Marcia Geraldine could have been born abroad.  She also had a sister HELEN BRAMLY TYRRELL and a brother born 13 Jan 1919 called ROBERT MELVIN TYRRELL.

Helen married Ivan Bruce King in 1931 and then Edward Harding in 1955

Marcia married Alan Ford Anderson in 1935, divorced him and remarried him in 2001

Any help would be  apprciated

Donegal / Irish Genealogy Help Please
« on: Sunday 06 May 12 11:18 BST (UK)  »
Hi

I have been looking for my relatives for some time and keep hitting the "brickwall".So I am seeking a help.

I have a Joseph McClay living in Trumman Easton the 1858 GV.  I know he is mine and can trace the family forward from that date.  I have obtained paper records to support my findings.   I cannot find a birth cert for Robert, Josephs son, born c1844.   This date is worked out from Roberts death cert in 1881.

My other family are Harrons of Ballynakillew Co. Donegal.  Checking the GV for Ballynakillew there seems a lack of them on the GV in Ballynakillew but a flurry of then in Shannagh/Lisnapaste.  I understand that all three townlands are close to each other

The two families are joined by marriage in my tree.

QUESTION:

The McClays live in the townland of Trumman East, Co. Donegal.   Would you consider that all the McClays in that townland are related to each other.

Should I be trying to find the fathers of the other McClays living inTrumman/Trumman East.

The Harrons appear to live in Shannaghnot Ballynakillew even my own GGrandmotheer claims she came from Ballynakillew but when her husband (Robert McClay) died in 1881 her father (Robert Harron) registered the death.  He gives his address as Shannagh.   Should I try and find fathers of the other Harrons living in Shannagh.  Would they all be related?

OR is that just wishful thinking.

I see lots of Harrons from Ballynakillew in other Trees am I missing a site or where am I going wrong.

My families seem to disappear due to having "girls" no boys to carry on the name.

Any suggestions and help would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks
Pat

London and Middlesex / Disappearance of #Sydney Greenwood Help
« on: Saturday 04 December 10 15:37 GMT (UK)  »
Still Looking for Sidney Greenwood b1888 Bethnall Green.  Disappeared 1932/33.  Have managed to get this date from the Electoral Rolls of Lambeth.  After Sidney came out of the army he lived at 25 Rosetta Street. Lambeth with his wife Helena his children and members of her family.  In 1932 Sidney was at home in 1933 he had gone and she had a lodger William Dennis Baldwin whom she married in 1936.

Sydney is supposed to have been run over by a tram.  Have tried to obtain a death cert without any success.  The GRO say that there is not one on there records.   Can anyone suggest how I might get coroners report because if he died in an accident then there should have been an inquest or perhaps a report in the paper.

Many Thanks

Hi

Help required.

I am trying to find out any information on:-

James Arnold, who was a saddler in Ballintra in 1931.  There son Robert Arnold and daughter Alice Eveline born after 1911.

Alexander Harron born 1903 believe Balylnakillew or Coxtown.  Parents Alexander and Rachel Harron of Coxtown (1911 census)  Married Elizabeth Ellen Arnold August 1931 in Drumhome bother declaring to be from Ballintra. Alexander is a gardener and his father a merchant.

Alexander and Elizabeth came to England in the 1930's and had a daughter Frances Susan who unfortunately died in England. Not sure if Alexander and Eliazbeth returned to Ireland

Desperate to trace the off spring of these people as I believe them to be direct cousins and am unable to trace my own line.

Thank you

Kilkenny / Tracing birth date
« on: Thursday 20 May 10 15:35 BST (UK)  »
Hi

This is a long shot.  I have a Patrick Cashin/Cassin born Kilkenny c1878.  Found him on both the 1901 and 1911 census living in Glamorgan, Wales.  1901 he is a boarder, 1911 he is married.  What I need is to obtain a more exact birth date i.e a month are there, does anyone know, any records available in Wales which would give me this information.  Patrick died in 1947.
Thank you
