Lancashire Lookup Requests / Joseph Jones Ashton in Makerfield

Hi everyone,

A bit of a stab in the dark this one. Joseph Jones is thought to have been an illegitimate son of Hannah Hughes. The family came from Rhosllanerchrugog near Wrexham but it is thought that Hannah was sent to Ashton in Makerfield to have her child.

Would there be a birth record for him in that area showing his mothers, and possibly, his fathers name?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi all,

Before I think about purchasing a marriage cert for the above I was hoping some kind soul might have the info already, I am looking for the parents of George Wilson and Mary Stobbs. They married in 1888 in Sunderland. I think Mary's parents were Thomas and Dorothy Stobbs, but am stuck on George's father, so any help would be appreciated.

What a mouthful that name is, but I still cant find the name of his parents. I found Jeremiah on the 1901 Census living with his grandparents Edward and Sarah Medlicott. If anyone can help me I would be much obliged.

Hi,

I am trying to find the marriage of James Cesar, he was born in 1855 in Belfast City according to the 1911Census, it states thta he and his wife Jane had been married for 34y, making a marriage of date 1bout 1877. I am trying to trace Janes's maiden name but have had no luck so far.

James and Jane had a number of children including Margaret 1880, Barbara 1882, Robert 1884, Annie 1888, Thomas 1893 and James 1899 but again I have found no traces on any of the on line sites.

Any help would be very much appreciated and if anyone needs any help with North Wales familys please ask.

Hi

I am doing some research for a colleague of mine who great grandparents,garndparents and parents came from the Belfast area.

I am trying to find the birth of Robert Lemon and the date of his marriage to Eliza Heron. I know that Robert died in 1908 and Eliza died in 1918, they had four sons, George (b1875), Robert (b1876) and William (b1880) andf John Barron Lemon (b1883)

Any information on either the Lemon or Heron family would be very much appreciated.

Hi,

I am trying to find the maiden name of the wife of John Coat(e)sworth. He was born in 1833 in Nettleham, Lincs and he married a lady named Ellen who was born in Barnsby, Lincs. Their eldest child was born in 1862 and he was named George Wright Coatesworth, I am hoping his mother maiden name was Wright, but I have been unable to confirm that as yet. Does anyone have access to the parish records where this marriage was recorded? I have tried BMD, no luck there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,

Help me please, I have searched in vain for the birth date of Armstrong McAuley, according to the census information he was born about 1855 in Greenock, the son of Thomas McAuley and Fanny Armstrong. I have searched the pre 1855 records and the post 1855 record but still cannot find any trace of him. Any information would be most appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I hope someone here will be able to help me, I am trying to find the marriage details of Jean Melville to William Smith, they had a son named John Melville Smith who was baptised in 1852 in Tannadice. Jean is shown on the 1841 Census with her family, and after that she seems to disappear... could she have married just prior to the 1851 Census... but then again I can't find her on the 1851 married to William Smith either. She would have been 17 in 1851.

I would be most obliged if anyone can help me with this one, I have searched Scotlands People in vain, unless of course I am missing an obvious connection somewhere.

Leicestershire Lookup Requests / Help Me Please

Hi All,

I have hit a real brickwall, I am trying to find the parents of Emma Ison, born 1852 Melton Mowbray. She married James Bebbington and had a number of children. There is a birth entry on BMD for Emma Fitz-Ellen Ison in 1852 and I have found her on the 1861 census living with her uncle George and on the 1871 with her grandparents William and Mary Dunnicleft. Question is how is she related to the Dunniclefts, (I can find no marriage between Ison/Dunnicleft), and where did the name Fitz Ellen come from?

Any help would be much appreciated.
