Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / football photo
« on: Thursday 26 September 13 20:01 BST (UK)  »
Not sure if this is in the right area , I have been sent a copy of a football club in the Manchester area from 1930-31 and can not work out the writing on the cup and shields.
I know two men in suits are called Higgings ,would like to know if it was a pub or works team etc.
There is no name on the back as to who took the photo.
Many thanks in advance

Hi ,Would anyone know where or was Alaner House Hale Barns in 1947 am intrested to find out what sort of home it was.George Howland died there in March 1947 but his cortege left for Sothern Cemetery from 4 Argyle St Droylsden,so this makes me think was Alaner House a Rest Home or Nursing Home or maybe it was his own house and Argyle St was his last wish to leave from?

Hi ,am tracing John Ward born 15/04/1887 to George Ward (slipper maker) and Maria A Ward (formerly Green) in the sub district of St Tomas Birmingham.I know John died in Manchester aged 49 in 1936.(he married in Manchester in 1910.)On the 1891 Census it shows he was living at 1 back of Bishop St Birmingham with Father ,Mother brothers Frank (14) George W (10) Alfred(8) Sister Charlotte (6) Marias, Brother William Green (40) After the 1891 I can find no trace of the family on the 1901 census. So not sure if all the Family moved to Manchester or just John?
Would be glad of help and sorry for long thread
