Would anyone be able to assist in me in finding out some more about an Alfred Bainbridge (also known as Barnabus or Barnibus) dob 1855c, who was married to an Emily dob 1867c, and had a daughter Emily Bainbridge (one of my greatgrandmothers ;D) her dob was 1st July 1886 in West Thurrock? The daughter subsequently married a James William Darvill dob 1873c born in Hammersmith, london.

World War One / EC labour Centre

One of my Greatgrandfathers, Arthur Leonard Ingle, reg No 646900, served with EC Labour Centre prior to discharge as a Pte with a pension for an injury. I think he was serving in the Queens West Surreys (strangely enough a forebear regiment to the regiment I served with for 13 years). Any information gratefully received.

World War One / canadian Great-Grandfather
« on: Tuesday 18 January 11 01:24 GMT (UK)  »
My greatgrandfather, Arnold Edgar Way from Tweed, Hastings, Ontario, Canada enlisted twice within a six month period. I think he was under age both times. He was eventually badged 155th Quinte Bn which I understand went to France in 1916. After the War family tradition has it that he enlisted in the "Black and Tans" and then drowned in the 1920's falling overboard. I have attached copies of his attestations from both enlistments. Any information welcome.

Essex / Coker Family in Essex
« on: Saturday 15 January 11 15:58 GMT (UK)  »
Hello all
Having got hooked on finding out more about my forbears I am now in the process of tracing my family tree. The family name is Coker and I have traced it back to a John Coker of Orsett in Essex in the mid-1800's. Any assistance gratefully received.
