Hello,
I have a Robert McConnell and wife Sarah McLean married in Glasgow.
They lived Bothwell.
Daughter Mary McConnell born1829 was single until marriage in 1855.

Would appreciate any census info on this family.

Hello,

William McKinlay born Douglas c1784 died 1867 married Margaret Stewart/Stuart born c1791 died 1865

Below is what we know:-

James McKinlay born 1816 Hamilton occup coal miner  died 1871.Married 3 times & 12 children.

William McKinlay born 1830 Douglas ocup coal miner died 1895. Married Margaret ? she died in 1895. (buried Cambusnethan Cemetery with Mary McNeil). She was 1st wife of brother James b1816.

Edward McKinlay born 1830 Douglas occup coal miner. Assume he is also buried in same Cambusnethan plot with Mary McNeil, William & Marg. Edward interred 1906.
Edward had a daughter Jean age 8 in 1861.  *Cambusnethan Churchyard on Greenhead Road located in Wishaw on the road to Newmains.

Look forward to hearing from anyone with links or connections to this particular McKinlay Family.

I'm interested in this McKinlay family.
William McKinlay born c1784 & his wife Margaret McKinlay nee Stewart born c1791

They had a son James born 1816 died 1871 & perhaps another son Edward.

They lived Holytown parish of Bothwell.

William died 1867 & Margaret died 1865 - Holytown parish of Bothwell.

Would appreciate any Census info in particular showing other members of this family.

James McKinlay died age 55 in 1871 ? Parish of Hamilton.
He was a Colliery Manager married to Mary McConnell. His son Edward McKinlay was present at his death.

Would like to know where he is buried.

Appreciate any help or advice.

William McKinlay died 1867 Holytown parish of Bothwell.
Keen to find where he is buried.
His wife Margaret nee Stewart died 1865 Holytown parish of Bothwell, assume they may be buried same place.

Do hope someone can offer advice or help.

Henry Paton born 1851 Clackmannanshire county Scotland - father John Paton & mother Jane Gibson.

In 1874 Henry lived Glasgow and entered the Freemason Lodge St Andrews No 465.

In 1878/9 emigrated to New Zealand, married 1880, 6 children.
Henry (Harry), Edward John, Robert James, Grace Gibson, Mary (Minnie) & Elsie.

Son Henry (Harry) was an All Black 1907 & 1910.
Grand-daughter Eris Paton in 1954 toured the UK with the New Zealand Womens Cricket team.

While there Eris met some Paton family members. Places mentioned Folkestone Kent, Eccles, Irvine & Shetland Islands.

Interested in anyone with links to Henry Paton.
Born 1851 Clackmannanshire county, father John Paton occupation carpenter and mother Jane Gibson.

Henry was living Glasgow 1874 when he entered the Freemason Lodge St Andrews No 465 - occupation labourer.

He emigrated to New Zealand 1878/9 & married 1880.
His son Henry (Harry) Paton was an All Black (rugby) 1907 & 1910.
Grand-daughter Eris Paton represented New Zealand Womens cricket and toured England 1954.
