Would someone please do a look up for me as I am unable to get to the RO.

Marr: William I'anson to Sarah Matthew.  16 July 1792 in Crambe.  I would like any details relating to this marriage please as it was a date that was given to me and I would like to verify it.

Also baptism for William I'anson, he was bn abt 1766 in Barton-le-Willows.  Parents unknown as yet.

Very much appreciated.

Many thanks

Julie

Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / Baptism and Marriage -Elsham and Kelsey
« on: Friday 20 May 11 11:27 BST (UK)  »
Hi, could someone please do a lookup or 2 for me as I am unable to get to Lincs RO.

Bapt: Thomas Langton bn abt 1816 Elsham. parents unknown as yet.

Marr: to Mary Berridge I think, possibly South kelsey as that is where eldest child was born about 1838.  Marriage doesn't show on BMD so I'm guessing it was pre 1837.

Very much appreciated.

many thanks

If someone living in Sculcoates said they were born in Sutton, where would that be please?  There seems to be several Sutton type places in Yorkshire and I don't know the area well enough to take a guess.

many thanks

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) / Stephenson's Yard, Hull
« on: Thursday 12 May 11 13:56 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone know anything about a place called Stephenson's Yard in Hull back in 1843?
It is the address given on a marriage cert, I am guessing it is a work place of some sort own by someone called Stephenson!! Another guess would be that Stephenson is a boatbuilder.  My ggggrandfather Richard Smith was a shipbuilder living there, he went on to become the joint owner of a shipbuilding business in Grimsby called  Smith & Stephenson Boat Builders.

That's all I know.
