Family History Beginners Board / Know the house address, want to find inhabitants...

I've always searched my ancestors by name and location before, but now I want to search who inhabited a particular house.  I know the address - is there any way I can enter this somewhere to check on inhabitants at that address?

I can see reference to Thomas and Isabella Snowden on FamilySearch.org as follows:

The 1841 Census shows them living in Bailey Street, Manchester with the following children:
Margt
James
Jane
Thomas
John
Robert
Isabella

According to the 1851 Census they lived at 9a Robert Street, Chorlton and their children included:
Jane
Thomas
John
Robert
Isabella
Elizabeth
Charlotte A
Sarah A

According to the 1861 Census they lived at 29 Napier Street, Ardwick and their children included:
Elizth (a Silk Winder) b Manchester circa 1844
Charlotte M b Ardwick, 1848
Sarah Ann b Manchester circa 1851


Does anyone have access to the additional Census data, such as where born, professions etc?

Lancashire Lookup Requests / 1841 & 1851 Census look-up please - James Sands

I'm trying to trace the father of William Sands, b circa 1840 in Manchester. 

William's father is given as James Sands on William's wedding certificate. 

I can find no mention of James in the FreeCen records for 1841 or 1851, but wonder if someone would be kind enough to look up for me on a paid site?  FamilySearch records suggest there are entries for a James Sands in the census records.

William Sands married Rosanna McKervey on 11/9/1860 in Manchester.  On the wedding certificate William's age is given as 20 (making his DoB circa 1840).  His father is given as James Sands, a labourer.

I can find a William Sands b 1840 on FreeBMD.  Can anyone see the name of his mother or father anywhere?

Technical Help / Searching pdf files

I use a MacBook Pro using the latest Operating System (I think it's called Lion).  I only recently upgraded to this OS and I've just noticed that I can no longer use the "search" function when reading pdf files, although  I could do it prior to upgrading.  Anyone have any ideas how to search pdf files using Lion OS?

Anyone know what Phthisis is?  It's given as a cause of dearth on a relatives death certificate...

Ireland / Golding in Kings County (Ifflay?)

A relative tells me that one of my ancestors surname Golding came from Kings County or Ifflay.  Not sure of the spelling but can anyone tell me where they are?  Anyone researching Golding in this area perhaps?
