Surrey Lookup Requests / 1973 address look-up
« on: Monday 06 May 13 17:44 BST (UK)  »
Would someone be kind enough to check the electoral registers for 1973 or thereabouts.   I have found a letter sent to an elderly relative who has since died.   It was signed Julia and the address was 6 Hamilton Road, Wimbledon, London sw19.   If I can find the surname of the people living there it will help with my research in Ireland where the family were born.

Thank you.

Marie.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Henry Rose death
« on: Saturday 10 March 07 16:51 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,

I'm looking for the death of Henry Rose who was born in 1856.   On the 1901 census he was living in Tarbock, so his death could have been registered in West Derby or Prescot as the family eventually finished up in Widnes.   I have found one on the BMD in 1914 but the age doesn't match.   He must have died here as his wife and one son that I know of finished up in Perth W. Australia.

Thank you.

Flintshire Lookup Requests / 1841 census - Sarah Giles
« on: Saturday 25 November 06 00:04 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,

I have subscribed to Ancestry.com and have found Sarah Giles on the 1851 census b. abt. 1830 living with her Aunt in Holywell, Flintshire.   She was born in Greenfield, Flintshire.   Her Father was William Giles a Blacksmith.   I can't find her on the 1841 census or her Father.   The name is quite unusual in Flintshire at that time.   Perhaps somebody could find her as I don't know if the Ancestry 1841 census is complete.

Thank you.

Offaly (Kings) / Guing family
« on: Wednesday 13 September 06 23:37 BST (UK)  »
Hello,

I'm looking for any Guings or descendents of Guing in and around Edenderry.   George Guing lived in the main street of Edenderry in the late 1800's and was a musician.   He had a daughter Marie who I believe ran a dance band.

Thank you.

Offaly (Kings) / Briens death Edenderry
« on: Wednesday 13 September 06 23:08 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
Are there civil BMD records in Ireland as in England.   I know there wasn't any before 1922 due to the uprisings.   I'm looking for my Gt. Grandfather Henry Briens.   The name became O'Brien.   I have written to the register office and there is no Henry O'brien registered.   I now know that when he married his name was Henry Briens.   He lived in Edenderry and I was told that he died in 1935, he would have been in his eighties.   I would be grateful it anybody could look it up for me.   I've been looking for it for years.

Thank you.

Renfrewshire / 1891 census look-up please Galbraith in Greenock
« on: Sunday 27 August 06 22:03 BST (UK)  »
Would somebody be kind enough to look up the 1891 census of Greenock.   I know that Jeanie Galbraith was born there in 1890 and she eventually lived in England.   Her parents were John and Ellen (Helen) Galbraith and she had sisters Mary, Meg, Tina and Nell all were older than her.   I will look up any English censuses in return.

Thank you.

Offaly (Kings) / MOONEY - O'BRIEN (BRIENS) - WALSHE - MOONEY - EDENDERRY
« on: Sunday 19 February 06 20:17 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,

I'm trying to contact descendents of Julia O'Brien (Briens) and Patrick Walshe.   They were married in the early 1870's at Clonbulloque.   Julia later married Michael Mooney and they had more children.   I do know that in the 1950's there were still descendents living in Edenderry, probably in New Row where Julia and Michael lived.   It is not called New Row now but the street is still there as I visited Edenderry a few years ago.   I can't remember what it is called now.

I'm sure there must be still relatives living in Edenderry, any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Marie.
