Pembrokeshire / Milford Haven Grammar School
« on: Tuesday 13 January 15 11:11 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for copies of the long form entire school roll photographs of Milford Haven Grammar School taken during the 1970s. Does anyone know where I might start looking? The Education dept of the council is no help and neither is the archive of the present school.

Thanks for any help.

In particular any personal details of the bride and groom or the names of the parents?

Thanks in advance.

Pembrokeshire / Gould marriage in Tenby in 1813?
« on: Saturday 26 May 12 12:53 BST (UK)  »
Hi folks.

I'm trying to research the maiden name of a Mary who married a James Gould in Tenby in 1813. The IGI database lists a marriage in 1813 but there is no record of Mary's maiden name. I'm hoping that the reason is the investigator just couldn't read the name. Does anyone have access to the parish register that lists the event and could help me out? I have no information on Mary prior to her marriage. James however was born in Ilfracombe in Devon and they initally went back to live in Padstow, Cornwall, for a time before returning to Tenby for good in the 1820s. James was born on or around 1789 to Richard Gould and Ann Salmon and the family were shipbuilders hence the meandering between the West Country and Pembs.

If anyone could provide me with an indicator of Mary's name or family I would be really grateful. Thanks in advance for any assitance.

Cork / Family of Thomas Lloyd Owen (Coastguard)
« on: Wednesday 01 February 12 23:18 GMT (UK)  »
Thomas Lloyd Owen (my great great grandfather)  was originally from Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire, Wales and was inducted into the coastguard service where he served in and around Cork in the 1850's. While he was stationed around Glandore and Baltimore he and his wife had four daughters Sara Jane (b 1855), Elizabeth Ann (b 1857), Martha (b 1860) and Rosenia (b 1862) before moving back to Pembrokeshire. I am looking for the maiden name of Thomas' wife Jane. I don't know if they were married before they arrived in Ireland or not. Thomas was born in Pembrokeshire on 2 Jul 1817 and Jane also in Pembrokeshire abt 1819. If anyone has any birth or christening records for the daughters might it be possible their mother's maiden name appears?

Any help gratefully received.

Pembrokeshire / Thomas Lloyd OWEN(S) b1818 Milford
« on: Friday 18 November 11 11:39 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for information on my great great grandfather who lists his dob as c1818 in or around Milford in each of the 1881 and 1891 census data. He was a mariner who seems to have spent time in Ireland as his four daughters (that I know of) were all born in and around Cork (Glandore?). His wife was Jane who also appears to have been born in Milford in around 1819. I have no details of their marriage and the details of their daughter's births are only taken from the census details:
Sara Jane (c1855)
Elizabeth Ann (c1857)
Martha (c1860)
Rosenia (c1862)
They all reappear in Pill Village, Steynton in 1881. It is the time prior to this that I am most interested. Jane's maiden name, their respective families etc. Any information gratefully appreaciated.

Pembrokeshire / Elizabeth Maria DAVIES b 1843 Pill
« on: Friday 18 November 11 11:04 GMT (UK)  »
Can anyone help with information relating to the birth of Elizabeth Maria Davies born abt 1843? She married a William John Lewis in 1868 and lived in Pill Road, Steynton for the rest of her life, giving her birth place as Pill on each of the subsequent censuses. In 1871 and 1881 she listed herself as Elizabeth Lewis and in the 1891 census as Elizabeth M Lewis so I presume she could have been christened as just Elizabeth Davies as I can find no record of a Elizabeth Maria Davies in the BMD or 1851 or 1861 census.

If anyone has access to the Steynton (?) parish records I would be extremely grateful for a lead on her parents' names. Thanks in advance.
