Can anyone help me track down a marriage between Alice Elizabeth Scrace and William Webb. The most likely place is Tunbridge Wells.
Alice was born in Frant in 1856 and died in Tunbridge 1942. Her parents were Henry Scrace and Frances Huggins.
William Webb was born in Braughing, Hertfordshire in 1854 and died in Tunbridge in 1906. His parents were Samuel Webb and Ann Matilda Miles.
Alice and William's 1st child was born in Tunbridge in 1881.
I cannot find a marriage record for them and the misspelling of Scrace in a lot of the documents is making it even harder to find.

I'm hoping someone can help track down an illigitimate child.

The Mother was Elizabeth Fordyce born 1802 in Fordyce.
In the kirk sessions for September 1816 there is a record of her being with child by an Alexander Davidson. There's a note of a letter from her Father, Mr Fordyce from Craigmills in Fordyce claiming Alexander Davidson one of his servants to be the father.
She would have been only 14 at the time.

I can find no record of this child's birth anywhere.

I was originally researching George Davidson who appeared to be the last child of John Davidson and Jannet Smout/Smollet from Boyndie, but I can find no record of George's birth.

From other records I have found that George would have been born around 1816/1817. He had an older brother named Alexander born in 1796 in Boyndie, who would have been 21 at the time of George's birth.

I am wondering if George Davidson is actually the child born to Elizabeth Fordyce and Alexander Davidson, but brought up by Alexander's parents as thiers.
The dates are right, but I don't know if it even the same Alexander Davidson, so it's a bit of a shot in the dark.

In the 1841 census, although George is by then married with his own children (wife and children living in Pilgair, Gamrie), he is recorded living as an ag.Lab for a John Fordyce (farmer) also in Gamrie at Whitehills.

This may just be a complete coincidence but I thought it worth following up.

Can anyone help shed some light on the child born to Elizabeth Fordyce and Alexander Davidson 1816/17 in Fordyce?

Its a few years since I've been on here.  I wondered if anyone here could help shed some light on a VIOLET D WEBSTER who was born in Ceylon in 1884. She was the daughter of JAMES WEBSTER born 1863 in Fyvie, illegitimately to MARY GERRIE (GERREY, HERREYGERREY, GERRY) and Andrew Webster.
The Gerrie family farmed in Letterfetter Fyvie.
Mary Gerrie born 1840 married in 1869 to JAMES DAVIDSON born in Gamrie in 1846, by this time Mary had already had 3 illigitimate sons, WILLIAM TAYLOR born 1860, JAMES WEBSTER born 1863 and ALEXANDER WATSON born 1865 all in Fyvie. They all seem to have been brought up by the GERREY or DAVIDSON families.
Any info about any of these individuals would be really helpful.

I'm also trying to trace the parents of JOHN DAVIDSON born around 1770. I believe he had a brother called ALEXANDER DAVIDSON. The first record I have of him is in Boyndie when he was married to JANNET SMOLLETT.
Really would love some help with tis one

George Davidson
Born about 1813
Died 30 May 1863 in Gamrie

Lived in Gamrie, Turriff and Fyvie. I am guessing born there or close by.
Married Margaret Booth 6 or19 July 1845 in Gamrie. Cannot find any other info on Margaret, other than she was already deceased in 1869
Had many children, most born in Gamrie

Would really like to find birth details to help me trace his parents.
Parents MAY have been John Davidson and Janet (Jessy) Smollett (not sure how accurate this info is).
Any info would really help

I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping someone will know something about the Davidson Family that came from Fyvie, Turriff, Gamrie and Macduff.
Some of their spouses were named Gerrie, Booth, Smollett.
I also have the names Finnie and Webster.
Anyone out there with any connections - I would love to hear from you
