Dublin / Where is she buried?
« on: Tuesday 28 November 23 09:30 GMT (UK)  »
Where would a catholic baby be buried in 1889 if they lived in Terenure before they died.
The person is Elizabeth English, born Feb 1888 to parents Thomas and Mary English. She was baptised in St Joseph’s RC church in Terenure and died in 1889 when she was 11 months old. Her address on her death certificate was Dodd’s Row, Terenure. Trying to work out where she would be buried. Thanks

Wicklow / Church of Ireland baptism records
« on: Saturday 25 July 20 11:03 BST (UK)  »
I was hoping to find an online record of Henry English born approx. 1856 to Henry English and Sarah Percy in the Baltinglass Wicklow area. I have found a catholic baptism entry which shows that his Mother converted him, his siblings and herself to Catholicism in 1858. Can anyone point me in the right direction for his original baptism in the church of Ireland. Thanks

Dublin / Help finding marriage certificate please!!
« on: Monday 07 May 12 11:08 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for the marriage certificate of Patrick Marron and Jane Murphy.

They are on 1901 census, living in Abbeysville, Malahide, Dublin North with children, James, Michael, Mary and Patrick.

Then they appear on 1911 census, living in Kinsealy, Dublin North with their children.

Their 1st child is my grt grandmother Bridget Marron born in 1882 so I assume that the marriage happened before this date. I recently looked in the reading rooms for their marriage certificate but couldn't find it.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Wicklow / A Foundling in Wicklow
« on: Friday 13 April 12 20:50 BST (UK)  »
I recently got a copy of an ancestors marriage certificate and learned from it that he was a foundling. His name Henry English and place of residence until his death was Stratford, Co. Wicklow. I know i will probably never know any information regarding his birth, parents ect....but i was wondering in what circumstances would a baby/child have been abandoned in the 1830's. Where would he have lived and would i ever find out who cared for him during his childhood. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
