I live in an old Colliery village on the outskirts of Newcastle and want to research the history of our house, and our street....I dont know where to start and 1939 register is something I can search for on ancestry but not the address....

is there another way to research?

I have recently come across a surname in my partner's tree that stumped me completely, according to FreeBMD the name no longer existed after 1880.

Can anyone help??

Thomas OSSOP marr Ann Welby in 1798, they had only 1 child (I can find) in 1799 Mary Ann OSSOP and Thomas was in the 13th Light Dragoons from 1800-1816 and fought in the Battle of Waterloo.

After 1816 I cannot find him, cannot find any more children, or his parents. I also would like to know the meaning behind the name OSSOP but cant find that either.

The last known OSSOP was Lenton OSSOP died 1880 aged 83, was this Mary Ann's brother?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wonder if anyone can help? I've got my partner's ancestors research and have found the above family but really would like to know where they're buried?

I was considering Blyth Links but I found out there was a cemetery at Cowpen but then they could be buried pretty much anywhere In that area.

Does anyone have MIs for cemeteries along the coast that could help?

I have recently moved to Paisley and wondered if there had been any deaths at the above addresses as my flat seems to be haunted, my flatmate has seen apparitions passing her bedroom at night and standing in the kitchen doorframe and also her bedroom lights flicker and our front door opens on its own.

I'd like to know if someone or some people died at this location

Im looking for help, I am researching my partner's family history and they are all from the Greenock/Gourock/Port Glasgow area and in a few censuses, certainly some birth certs and deaths, the address 28 Dalrymple Street appears A LOT.

What is the significance of this address, what did it used to be before it was a Tesco Extra?

Hi I am researching a man that has disappeared out of my friend's life and don't know where to start looking.

His name is (*) Dainese, he will be in his 60's years now and possibly living in Scotland. His son and daughter live in Linwood and Renfrew respectively and don't know anything about him other than that he is their father.

His parents are Avellino & Anna Dainese (m/s Disinaor*) this could be a spelling error

any help would be extremely greatful
