Hi

This is related to a discussion in this thread
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,646561.0.html

I am trying to find more information about my ggm.  I was told that she died shortly before my grandparents wedding in sept 1938.   If any one has access to this microfiche could you check for a record for Sarah.   I am trying to find out or confirm her parent's names and place of birth and her date of death.

Basic information

Sarah Elizabeth Jo*ns*on* (Johnson variations)

b 1874-77 (most likely 76)
England most likely in Northumberland (pax record)

Husband George W Oldfield
Children Ralph Oldfield, Doris Porritt
Last place of residence ( most likely King City, Woodbridge, Bolton)

Thanks

Canada / look up request Pax list Glasgow to a Quebec Canada port Oldfield 1906

Hi this was originally posted in the forum for Renfrewshire, Scotland.  My original request for info about the pax list has been fulfilled.  What I am seeking now is information about the family of Sarah Elizabeth Oldfield ( nee Johnson) born circa 1877 in Northumberland who married George W Oldfield at Acomb St. Stephens in York in 1902.  I am trying to identify her parents and I would like to confirm her and George's date of death and place of burial.  George was born in 1878 in York to Ralph and Nymph Oldfield.  I would love to try to find a copy of their obituaries.  I am also seeking information about their Son Ralph b. 1909 along with a twin (name unknown ) who died shortly after.  George and Sarah lived in and around Bolton and King City, Ontario when their family was young.  I believe Sarah died sometime between 1938-41.  George died around 1970.

My original request is below.

Thanks bes

I am trying to find more information on my great grandmother Sarah Elizabeth Oldfield nee Johnson b 1877 probably in Yorkshire.

I know that she emigrated to Canada on a ship departing from Glasgow to a port in Quebec in 1906, probably in the in the first 1/2 of the year because her first child was born in Canada in October.

She was travelling with her husband George W Oldfield born in 1878 in York.  They were probably living in York before their departure.

I  am hoping that someone would provide me with the details provided on the passenger list for them and the names of any party they are listed as travelling with.

Thank you,

Hi I'm trying to identify to which Johnson family my great grandmother belonged to in Yorkshire.  I Know she was married at Acomb St Stephen's in 1902 and that they emigrated to Canada shortly after.  My Great Grandfather was George W  Oldfield b 1876 to Ralph Oldfield and Nympha Boag and my ggm was Sarah Elizabeth Johnson b around July 1877.    I am grateful for any help as I have no record of family names from that side of the family.  I do have a picture of Sarah's mother but it is only labelled Grandma Johnson.
Thanks for your help!
