Lancashire / Sheridan family (Ireland to Liverpool)
« on: Monday 24 February 14 17:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I must admit to start that I am a beginner to this site (and only young) so if I have posted this in the wrong place or whatever, just tell me please. I am hoping that someone can do a look-up for me on my family (The Sheridan's). I'm also aware that Sheridan was/is a very common name in Ireland.
So, my great great great grandfather was Patrick Sheridan 1780-1863 who was born in (very vague) Ireland to (I think) Robert and Alice. He married a Catherine (unsure of her surname) and had 5 children, Patrick, Ann, Mary, James (my great great grandfather) and John.
I believe that it was Patrick Sheridan that moved from Ireland with his family, as all 5 children are listed as being born in Ireland, but I would like someone to check that for me. I also have no idea which year they came to Liverpool. (I have no access to ancestry or any of those sites, so I have no chance of finding the records.) Thank you in advance,
Elinor Sheridan
