« on: Sunday 12 May 24 13:39 BST (UK)  »
Dear all,

I'm looking if some-one has a lead to an auction/sale catalogue from (general) Thomas Davies from Blackheath (buried in Greenwich). I know after his death the collection was auctioned of, but I can't trace any sale catalogue. Any one a lead or direction for me?

Yours, Justin

Dear all,

I'm looking for more details on the Rowe firm, Fleetstreet 3, London. Stationer. Three doors from Temple Bar. Stamps and Engraving. This book dates from roughly 1800-1805.

When was it founded and how long did it exist, it is a straw in a ongoing research to date a unpublished catalogue.

Dear all,

I'm looking for more details on Mr Thompson, who lived at "Little Saint Martin's Lane" by roughly 1801. He traded in Natural History Items. But so far no details could be traced by me, for example his first name. Any-one out here that could help me a bit? I know at number 3 and 5 two Thompsons lived in 1805.

Yours, Justin Jansen (the Netherlands)

« on: Saturday 23 November 13 17:00 GMT (UK)  »
Dear all,

I'm looking for details on William Claridge from Rushden in Norfolk who died in 1891. Also looking for his ornithological past and relations with Alfred or Philip Crowley when possible. And help or thoughts help very much. Tried via google multiply searches, and except for the Project Rushden website there seems no info out there. From this website I know he started a shoe factory.

All the best,

Justin Jansen

I do not have much details on this next person, but maybe some-one out there could help me. I'm looking for W. Claridges, who died prior to 1923 and visited the Netherlands in May 1884 most likely. I suppose he is originating from Norfolk, but details are very sparse.

Could any-one located some more details of Robert Christopher Packe who moved to the Falklands in 1850? He was from Norfolk and had a brother Edward Packe. He became captain of the 34th foot at 12 February 1847.

Any details would be warmly welcome,

Armed Forces / Captain Pack The Falklands approximate 1860
« on: Tuesday 20 November 12 08:39 GMT (UK)  »
Dear all,

I'm looking for Captain Pack, who was stationed at the Falkland Islands between 1858-1860. He was Captain of the army here (so he must be born somewhere in 1830 or so?), most likely earlier (few years) and little longer (few years). It was surely Captain Pack (without e). Who could help me?

Yours, Justin Jansen
