Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Passport requirements when travelling to the US 1909-23 ?

I know my grandfather Edward Thomas ARNOLD born 1878 in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire - died 1929 traveled to US in Feb 1910, back to England in May 1914 got married to Harriett KEY in Derbyshire returned to US later in July 1914 and finally returned to England in 1922.

I have found him on all the relevant passenger lists documents.

I assume he would have needed a British Passport to travel to the US?

Are there any records available?
(He did become a Naturalized citizen of the USA in Jan 1919 and obtained a US Passport in Nov 1921)

Any advice would be much appreciated

I have the birth of a Helana Francis Watson LAWRENCE 18th Oct  1914 Reg in Wakefield, YKS to parents John William Victor LAWRENCE and Florence JACKSON.

Trying to find their marriage and when and where etc John was born?

I have John William LAWRENCE'S death cert  June 1953 aged 65, reg in Derby.

Also his 2nd marriage cert to Isabella KEY in Mar 1925 at Basford, NTT / DBY as a widower aged 34 with father as Matthew - deceased.

Any assistance will much appreciated.

Hi All

I am trying to find Frances MORRIS b1845.

On the 1851 census I have --
                 Robert MORRIS - H - 40 Farmer
                 Eleanor               W - 35
                 Jane                    D - 11
                 Eleanor               D - 8
                 Frances               D - 6
                 John                    S - 3
         and  Robert                S - 1

Parents were born in Llanrhaiadr, DEN and all children born Llanfyllin, MGY.
Living at Tyddyn, Llanfyllin, MGY.

Frances MORRIS married William Henry JONES in C 1865.
Their first child was born in Jun 1867 in Manchester, LAN.

Any help would be much appreciated.

living at Skoke Damerel , Clowance - RG9/1450 Folio 91 Page 31
Married in 1841.

and also on 1861 census I have --

           John G HILL                   1832 Devonport, Devon, Head, Engine Smith
       Mary Ann, nee BROWN,     1835 Plymouth, Devon, Wife
           Alfred W C                     1854 Devonport, Devon, Son

living at 9 Arundel Cres, St. Andrew, Plymouth - RG9/1439 Folio 92 Page 8
I think they were married in 1852.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi All

I'm trying to find the following families on the 1851 census --

Wlliam Henry JONES b1841 in Newtown / Llanidloes MON / MER  ??

and Francis MORRIS b1845 in Llanfylin MER / MON  ??

I'm having abit of trouble with my Welsh names and counties!!

This couple married in c 1866 - don't know where ??

I have found them on the 1871 / 81 91 and 1901 census living in Manchester / Prestwich and Rochdale in Lancashire!!

Their first child was Eliza Ann JONES b1867 in Manchester, LAN.

William H JONES was a Coachman on later census.

Any help would be much appreciated.

On the 1881 census I have the following -

               Robert NICHOLLS - S - U - 17 Oldham, LAN

       John NICHOLLS - Boarder - U - 44 Oldham, LAN

living at 166 Lee St, Oldham, LAN

This was the 2nd marriage of Sarah. She was born Sarah WILLIAMS and her 1st marriage was to Francis NICHOLLS.
Francis died young !! - I'm hoping he will show up on the earlier census ??

On the 1881 census I have them at 64a Albert St, Stoke Damerel
as follows -

            John G. HILL - M - 49 b Devonport      - Engine fitter H M Dockyard
            Mary A            M - 45 b Plymouth
            Edith              D -  14 b Tavistock
            Ernest            S -  7   b Stoke Damerel
            Adelaide   Vis M -  26 b Devonport   - Wife of Coast Guardsman R N
            John G      Vis M -  1   b Stoke Damerel

John G  HILL married Mary Ann BROWN in Sept 1852.

On the 1901 census Johns birthplace is given as Plymouth??
